Open Question: Heated blanket for car or camping with no electricity?
I am going to be doing a lot of camping in the fall for work. I have the option of sleeping in my covered van without the seats- I can actually fit a full sized air mattress in it! I still get so cold at night and i saw car powered blankets with a 12 volt battery. I just can't find one that can last all night and not use the stupid automatic shut-off. Do you know of any good blankets that will last at least 12 hours a day and recharge quickly for use the next night and early morning? (I have to sit outside all day and the morning are very chilly too) moreOpen Question: My BF is being sucked dry by his ex wife?
I'm really worried because his ex-wife takes everything from him. He pays all her bills, gives her $300 a week on top of that, and it puts a financial strain on us. I see him stressed all the time, and I can tell it's making him sick. However, her hand is still out for more. He makes 90k a year and he barely sees a dime of it. I have NO problem whatsoever with him supporting his kids. I love them to death. But it feels like she's taking advantage of him, and expects everything to be the same like when they are married. She dictates everything from custody to his money. It's really driving me crazy, and I don't know what to do. He won't stick up for himself...and it hurts me to see him hurt so bad.....I'm beyond stressed all the time because of this. We have to stay at her house on the weekends to see the kids because they play football/cheerleading. I have no problem with the kids playing, but I feel awkward staying there, sleeping on an air mattress. The kids don't respect us there, and she and her current BF dictate everything we do. I feel like a child, and it's really annoying.... I don't know what to do. I love him so much, but I feel like there is not a thing I can do....we can't even afford to finish the divorce (which is $200!) because she sucks us dry. AS A SIDE NOTE! I met him 6 months after they separated. They don't consider themselves married at all, it's the legality at this point. According to tax records, they aren't married. moreResolved Question: Why don't they send down inflatable pillows and air mattresses for the Chile Miners trapped underground?

I just read up on getting rid of a musty smell in a mattress and box spring. Spraying stuff on it and then letting it dry out in the sun is very helpful. Last winter I had put the guest room bed in the basement to make the room more spacious. We are selling the house so I decided to make it nice looking again and get the bed back in the room. Of course out of the 5 yrs. here, it's been the hottest summer. Our basement is dry but has a normal basement smell and every so often when it seems very humid out, we put the dehumidifier on. Well, unfortunately I put the bed in the basement when I should have let it be because now it absorbed some of the humidity and smells a bit musty. I sprayed and aired it out inside and it's a little better but not sure if I should get rid of the bed or knowing that winter is coming, the smell will go away because the humidity will go away. Is that good or will still harm someone if they sleep in the bed? Thanks. moreResolved Question: Mattress on bare floor...?
Having newly move into a property I have been sleeping on a mattress on the bare floor (currently no carpet or laminate). However, I've now found damp patches on the floor under the mattress (no, I don't wet my bed), creating mould. In your opinion, is this likely moisture from the bed user being being trapped under the mattress where there is no air, or a sign of dampness coming up from the floor also being trapped under the mattress.? I'm buying a proper bed and currently deciding what to do with the floor. Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: Dormia foam mattress smells?
I just bought a dormia foam mattress and it smells really bad. I tried airing it out but that didn't seem to help, would anyone have any ideas on how I can get rid of the smell. Is it my mattress or basket itself that conforms?
Ive ordered a moses basket that comes with a mattress but it doesn't give any information on the mattress, whether it has air holes etc. All it says about that moses basket and mattress as a product altogether is that it conforms to BS EN 1466, could any one give me any advice as to whether my mattress is safe for a new born, because i know that you need a mattress with air holes, just wondered if any one knew whether this is a conformity that is safe. Thanks moreResolved Question: Does Diatomaceous Earth kick around and cause dust clouds, or does it stay on the floor?
We have a bed bug problem and we're thinking about buying diatomaceous earth to spread around the house and on the mattress and in carpets, I would like to know if it kicks up into the air and causes small clouds of dust or if it just stays on the floor and just moves around. Also, can I mix it with water and then put it on the floor to prevent dust clouds and still kill bed bugs?DE actually works by breaking down the wax on the insects skin, rendering it vulnerable to dehydration, and therefore dying. I know how it works already. I just want to know if it kicks around and causes dust clouds, or if it stays on the floor! I appreciate your helpfulness though. moreResolved Question: Is there some place to buy a vacuum storage bag to move a king size foam mattress in?
I am moving from New Orleans to Chicago and I have a 10" thick foam mattress. When they brought the mattress to my apt for delivery it was in a vacume sealed bag which would really reduce the space needed to move. I am trying to find a service or somewhere I could get a bag that I could vacuum the air out and move it. moreResolved Question: Am I being emotionally/verbally abused?
Sorry if this is long. I'm 16. I live with my mom. My dad moved out about 3 years ago. Ever since then my mom has been constantly putting me down. She says I'm stupid, a horrible daughter, and that I only care about myself. She curses at me. She yells at me for doing absolutely nothing. She has broken things in my room. She throws stuff at me. It gets to the point that I just lock myself in my room and bawl my head off. If it gets too bad I go to my dad's and she tells me not to come back. Then she calls back days later telling me to come home. I can't do it anymore. I want to live with my dad. But I'm scared to move out. I know for a fact that my mom will hate me if I move out. No matter what, she's still my mom, and her hating me will bother me a lot. I also have 2 dogs that she would never let me take with me. I'm scared to leave them with her. And I don't think she's emotionally stable. I'm scared that if I move out she'll kill herself. Also, my dad lives in a very small apartment and he can't afford much more. I would have to sleep on an air mattress. What should I do? I've been thinking about this for 2 1/2 years now. I need some second opinions. Thanks in advance. moreOpen Question: Is hydrogen peroxide the only thing that could be bothering me from my organic bedding?
Hi, I recently got an organic cotton mattress without any flame retardants and an organic cotton pillow. I was told the only thing in them was cotton, ticking, and metal springs in the mattress, but I have a reaction to them. They have a weird smell to them, and I'm thinking maybe it's hydrogen peroxide. The textiles and cotton are not dyed, contain no boric acid... what else other than hydrogen peroxide as a sterilizing agent could they use in an organic prescription no FR cotton mattress than could cause these symptoms: -Dryness and Tightness in throat (largely this is the problem) -sore lungs -headache -no excess mucous as in an allergy -lower intestinal or perhaps cervical cramps (in females :p) -tiredness upon awakening -lasting effects for up to 6 hours after awakening -no permanent effects after that as far as I can tell -symptoms noticeably lets up once I leave the room. Also, the smell I smell when I enter the room is a pungent, bitter smell and mostly I can taste in in the back of my throat. I'm not sure if what's causing the smell is the same thing that's causing my reaction, but it could be a hint. I have so, so many allergies. I have chemical sensitivities that "no one" should be sensitive to like PET plastics and aluminum and boric acid, so if you know anything about bed manufacturing and what chemicals they could use to sterilize and treat raw organic cotton or maybe the cause of the yellowish color or the ticking, or whatever you could think of that could cause the symptoms described above, or do you have the experience to know if perhaps my reaction is an indication of sensitivity to hydrogen peroxide, I'd appreciate your input. If it is hydrogen peroxide, I will keep the mattress and pillow because I know it rapidly decomposes once its exposed to elements so I'll just let it air out and these problems shouldn't persist. Thanks for your help in advance. moreResolved Question: Little Brother Problems >:O, Won't sleep in his own room!!?
Ok. So my little brother who is seven years old, is rly annoying and he has his own room, he has a brand new bed that my parents spent money on. But he won't sleep in his own room, so he goes and sleeps on my parent's bed, (which is king size), but he kicks, makes noises and wakes my parents up. So i let him sleep in my room on an air mattress, so my parents can sleep properly but he them keeps me awake and I need sleep to because school starts soon and I have to wake up at six am. I talked to my mom about it and she agrees with me that he should sleep in his own room, but we've tried and it doesn't work. Also I think he's rly spoiled. Any ideas on what I should do!? thnx :) moreResolved Question: How can I make my bed not feel the vibrations in the apartment?
I live in a super noisy hotel here in S.F. I moved to the top floor which is way less noisy. But the vibrations of stairs etc. wake me up almost every hour. I don't hear any sound but the vibrations always get me and I think that I might be going crazy. I was thinking maybe an air mattress but I don't know if this will work. I have kept an eye on my friend's relationship with a guy and I think something is wrong. 1: She dyed her hair pink and he did not like it. 2: She got a tattoo, the name of her brother who died and he did not like it. 3: Before Halloween, she wanted to go home and work on costumes. He wanted to go to the theaters. She went with him. 4: He thinks that her ability to crochet is dumb. 5: He jokes about hitting her. 6: She finished her first scarf, and then she decided to hang out her best friend (My sister) who was on an air mattress. She was sitting with him for the whole time. I came over to congratulate her on finishing the scarf. MY sister went to the bathroom and a few minutes later, he walked over, seemingly to look out the window for people who were late, and laid next to her. 7: I noticed that nearly all the time, he follows her and holds her. He even follows her to the bathroom as she brushes her teeth. When he holds her, it’s constant. When standing in a parking lot, he has his arm around her. What I noticed was that he lightly brushes his hands over her skin. When she stands next to him while he sits, he has his hand around her leg, above the knee cap. One, he had his hand around the back of her neck as she talked to people. 8: One day, he didn’t want to go to her house because he didn’t feel like it. She had to go over to his house to make him happy. Note that he lives an hour and a half away from her house. 9: Someone made a mess in the kitchen and she was trying to look over to see. But he forcefully pushed her back, telling her to stay put. 10: There’s a mat in the kitchen of my house and he was standing on it. He wanted her to stand on it, she didn’t hear him the first time and he repeated himself in a angry voice. 11: He has done this multiple times, that he would, innocently done, break up conversations between me and her. Once, I was standing back a few feet from her, leaning in, asking how she was when he came over, stood between me and her with his back toward me. 12: She locked herself out of her car once, and a bunch of us were around, waiting. She was on the phone. It was cold out so I tried to be funny by using him as a shield against the cold. But he said he was going over to her because he thought she was talking about him. 13: A group of us were at a lake, and as were about to leave, I found and picked a tiny flower. I gave it to her and he glared at me for a several seconds. He quickly laughed about it and said he was joking. If you see something wrong, please point them out by number. moreResolved Question: Does anyone know of a way to prevent mold in a Sleep Number bed?
I take it apart about every other month or more if it has been humid outside. I put the foam pieces outside on my deck in the sun and I spray them with Lysol spray. Inside, I spray the air mattresses with a mix of bleach and water, let them sit a couple of hours and then wash them down with detergent and water. I then spray them with Lysol before putting the bed back together again. I've tried letting the Lysol completely dry before putting it back together and I've also left it still wet when putting it back together, either way, I still find mold every single time I open the bed. I have menopause so I have terrible night sweats which is what is causing the moisture. This is a HUGE project every time I do it but I have arthritis in my hips and the Sleep Number bed is wonderful for that so I really don't want to get rid of it. I was thinking about putting some charcoal pieces in there to absorb some of the moisture. Any suggestions? moreResolved Question: RAID MAX FOGGER?? ADVICE PLZ?

Toxins...?
Hi :) I am wondering if the toxins in a brand new bed/mattress can be harmful to an unorborn baby? I am around 9 weeks pregnant with my second child and have been so worried about this... I have been airing my room out during the day but I can still smell that 'new bed' smell each night. Thanks for your helpThats really reassuring, thanks guys :) It was mainly concerning me as I know brand new mattresses have been linked with cot death in Newborns so I thought perhaps they were of some danger to a fetus also moreResolved Question: MATTRESS PEED ON SEVERAL TIMES...THROW IT OUT?
My daughter has had just a few accidents in the past year. The first time, I drenched the whole mattress with water mixed with clorox 2 and a little bit of detergent, soaked it all out to the best of my ability and let it air dry. Now, I keep thinking she is over this stage and won't do it again, but sure enough it happened 2 more times and I can't keep making that big mess in the efforts of trying to "Wash" the mattress, PLUS it really doesn't get out all of the smell. I'm just about to give up and throw it out. Is that my only option at this point??Yes, i know yall, I will use a protector from now on as I realize that she might continue to have accidents every so often. However, my question was not "how do i prevent it from happening again" it was "Should i throw this one out or is there any way to salvage it" Thank you to those who answered the question. moreResolved Question: My friends are coming to visit me, I live in a 1 room apartment...?
I live in a tiny apartment with a loft bed, my friends are coming to visit, they are a couple and they are bringing their big dog (which they have to bring). They may not be able to get a hold of an air mattress and I don't have one, I have a couch tho. I would offer them my bed in the loft, but I do not want to be stuck below with their dog the whole time... Am I being a rude host by not offering them my bed? I am mainly just curious what the proper etiquette is in this situation, I am pretty sure I am not going to sleep on the couch with the dog... moreResolved Question: Little bugs on my bed?

It was an eerie sunday morning. I had woken up to raindrops crashing down on the tin roof, and the ear piercing sound of plates being thrown. I hear my parents arguing. The clouds were like fields of purple-grey heather, pressing in on my bedroom window when the storm hit. Normally it was comforting, strangely enough- the steady drumbeat of rain, the bright silver lightning and the deep, rumble of thunder- all of it muffled, reminding me that I was in the warm. But tonight was different. I was alone in the top floor flat that my mother and I lived in while she was working her night shift at the nursing home. I was fidgety, restless. Pacing the thinly carpeted floor of my room until I was sure the pale brown covering should have been worn away by the tattoo of my feet. The storm was almost calling me and my feet were itching to walk out into the night. The only thing that held me back was caution. You don’t grow up with my mother without learning that. So I ignored the strange, unnatural pull of the storm and the desire to feel the pellets of rain on my skin. Instead, I bundled myself up in bed, trying hard to get to sleep, but every time I got near to slumbering a crash of thunder would shake me awake. Finally, my resolve crumbled and I found myself sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of tea and trying to groom my curly black hair into something descent after its encounter with my mattress, although it didn’t really help. Again, the pull to go into the storm clutched at me pointlessly. No way would I end up out in the storm just because of an odd whim. A flash of lightning blinded me momentarily and for some reason I jerked, only to see the steaming tea fall and splash across the table. I stared. Because the liquid that had spilled out was reflecting something. Something that wasn’t there. My mother. She was out in the rain, and she was walking along a nearby street, one that led away from her workplace. And yet... there was someone behind her. My scream came too late. The figure- very tall in a sleek black raincoat- had grabbed her, twisting her arms behind her and dragging her backwards, towards Silas Wood. A hand clamped over her mouth and the two figures disappeared into the outstretched arms of the trees. The reflection vanished, and I realised I was breathing fast, a cold sheen of sweat marking my forehead. What had just happened? What the hell had just happened? Feeling sick with nerves, I realised I couldn’t phone the police. What would they say? ‘Oh yes, of course we believe you saw this all in your tea! Now, kindly step into this straitjacket...’ I had nobody but myself. I shed my pyjamas and threw on some clothes, topped by a thick winter’s coat and an umbrella, although my niggling anxiety stayed with me. To calm myself somewhat, I tucked a razor sharp kitchen knife in my pocket, feeling the cool metal through my clothes like a silent reassurance. Before I went out the door, I snatched up my notebook as well. A thick wodge of white, lined pages sandwiched between two doodled-on brown cardboard covers. I carried it with me everywhere, and into a storm to save my mother was no exception. The door swung open fast, aided by a gale of wind that buffeted at me with the rain. Like it was ushering me out. It didn’t take long to get to the wood. The wood. It shouldn’t have existed really, not on the outskirts of Bellum. A city with too many lights and too little clean air. But it grew faster than a wood should have, and despite one attempt to cut it down, a gathering of environmentalists had seen that it wouldn’t be gotten rid of. So Silas Wood stayed; a dark, tangled mess of dense branches that, although I wouldn’t admit it to anyone but myself, scared me. But not as much as the idea of my mother’s corpse did, so I pushed thoughts of ghosts and ghouls away and went on. When I entered, everything seemed to go quiet. The distant roar of cars, the muffled scream of engines and people and even the storm. It was replaced by a breathy wind and the slight patter of rain on the heavy canopy and the scurrying of small, invisible animals. Using my hands to clear the path through the whippy black branches, I found myself on a narrow path, marked out by the flattened undergrowth and snapped off branches. It was like an invitation, and I knew that no matter how much I wanted to run away, I had to accept it. So, before I could change my mind, I stepped onto the path, and began to walk. (Not the whole thing due to the character limit.) I'm 14 so hopefully it doesn't read like something an 8 year old together, but tell me if it does. In fact, be as harsh as you possibly can, because I'm terrible at picking out mistakes in my writing due to a lack of brainpower. Thanks! moreVoting Question: Do we have bed bugs again?
I just moved into a new apartment and I barely took any off my furniture out of the old one because we had bed bugs. A couple of days ago I woke up with a couple of bite on my right lower leg. Its a total of 8, so a little bit to much for a mosquito. But I also saw a spider right next to my bed the same morning. A little brown one. Well I washed all my bedsheets and I don't have a real mattress yet, just an air mattress. The bites look a little bit like mosquito bites but there are red and look also like bed bug bites but there are not in a row like bed bug bites usually are. This afternoon I want to wipe down my whole room. My roommate doesn't have any problems jet and I want to keep it that why. Any suggestions? moreResolved Question: How to get rid of negative energy in my room?
So here's the deal. I'm 17 and female, and I have this tendency to switch around the things in my room, as in rotating my bed and desk. It got pretty filthy as well, so I decided to "spring clean" at the end of the summer, haha. It's very simple and minimal. My bed mattress is on the ground and my desk by the window. I was content with it but it sometimes drives me insane. My walls are this "timeless tale" blueish green and everyone says my room is very boho and hippy. I dusted, wiped, vacuumed, and rid of much physical clutter, but I feel this heavy negative spiritual clutter in the atmosphere. What are some tips to help remove it from my room? I walk in and get depressed immediately. I refuse to sleep in there, I don't know what it is but I just know I can clear the air somehow. Suggestions would be lovely! Thank you!P.S. I'm an extremely optimistic person! Don't get me wrong :P moreResolved Question: There's a nest in my mattress?!?!?
Ok, I have a bunk bed and today I was on the bottom bunk. I was napping and when I woke up I was in a different position than normal (I toss and turn a lot so it doesn't surprise me), I had my head on the end of the bed where normally I have my feet...I looked straight up at my top bunk, and in the mattress I saw a hole which had some sorte of nest in it!! My bedroom is fairly clean, I usually have food and drinks up there but I am sure to bring them back downstairs for throwing out and cleaning. Our house doesn't have air conditioning so we usually have windows and doors open but they all have screens...what could possibly be nesting in my mattress? Okay. So I've noticed my room kinda smells lately.. not like a good smell, more like something died in it. I have no clue what's causing the oder. I cleaned out the garbage, there's no old food or drinks, my sheets are clean, and I have no dirty laundry. Could it be my mattress and pillows? Both my mattress and pillows are like 5+ years old. I have no clue how to clean a mattress and pillows... If i spray it with febreze air effects, will that work? I need help. Thank you!Okay. So I've checked everywhere and nothing is actually dead in my room. I'm not too sure about the mattress' condition. I've only had it for about 5 years, we got it from someone. I'm not too sure how long they had the mattress for though. I can't find out where the smell is coming from and it's driving me crazy! moreResolved Question: how do i get a stench out of a mattress?
I just got a new mattress from my step-moms moms house (well its used but its new to me) and lets just say that her moms house doesn't have the most pleasant smell in the world. but anyway, i needed a bed so they gave me one and the mattress smells almost like cat litter if not worse, it pretty much smells like their house. and my dad, step-mom, and i have tried EVERYTHING, and i mean everything! we put just about every freshener out there. we tried Lysol and letting it soak in for a few hours, we tried a glade fabric freshener, fabreeze, and an air freshener and the stench keeps coming back! and whenever i go to sleep i have to smell my bed to make sure that i dont smell anything stinky. and im sick of it. does anyone know what else i can do?and we dont have enough money for a brand new mattress moreResolved Question: If u were going to float on an air mattress in the lake under the moon, who would u want by your side?

My fiance and I are expecting family to stay with us in 2 weeks and needed an extra bed for them to sleep on. So, we just bought an elevated queen sized air mattress from Target; it's a queen sized, looked very nice. We got it in the mail yesterday and pumped it full of air and it was great. We decided to sleep on it for the night to test it out ourselves, make sure it's comfy, etc. At 5am, our feet were in the air and our heads were touching the ground. So, we found a little tear in the bottom and I thought, ok, maybe we over inflated it or something, who knows, maybe it came that way. We repair it with the patch n' glue set that came with the bed, let it sit for 4 hours, cool beans, every thing is fine. We blow it up again, and it deflates again within 30 min. What? We find another small little tear in the bottom ---- admittedly, I have 2 cats, and they accidently got into the room the bed was in while the glue was setting? So i think that may have been their fault, maybe a claw got at it or something. So we put duct tape on it. No more air comes out of that hole. We pump it up again. It's been 2 hours since we last pumped it up, and it's still elevated, but noticeably softer. I don't know what to do. Can I return it at this point? it's a PureComfort mattress. Should I just keep the duct tape nearby and mend as necessary? Should I spray paint the whole bottom? I'm getting very frustrated. Thanks for any advice. moreResolved Question: *Can I sleep on my new mattress topper tonight?*?

I really need to sleep on it tonight and besides, I have no where else I can put it. However, the instructions say to let it sit for up to 48 hours so it can fully expand. I just measured it and it's almost at 4" now. Has anyone else bought one and slept on it the first night? (i.e. "Taken Advantage of"?)?
Seriously, please read this and give me an honest answer. I totally want some perspective. So my inlaws have been known to behave in a pushy, domineering way and we moved halfway accross the country. Now they are visiting, and staying in our house, as a couple, for the first time. I have been cleaning up after them (they cook, as a "favor," but then leave every single cooking component - from salt to creepy used pans - out for me to clean up. I do garbage, laundry, floors and two loads of dishes every day. I did my best to provide them with a comfortable place to sleep, in the most private area possible.Air mattresses, unfortunately, but they knew that, in advance, and said that they didn't mind because it was better than sleeping in a hotel. Anyway, i made it into a cute, comfortable little dorm room that has served previous guests very well. Tons of fresh towels, plenty of pillows. A clean rug. There was room for their suitcases and stuff -plenty of room- near their beds. They have put their stuff all over the house - their open suitcases (underwear) in my office, their laundry in the hall outside the family bathroom I got ready for them and asked them to use - their makeup mirror in my preschooler's bedroom (light is better there) - and - check this shit out - THEY ARE NOW SLEEPING IN MY BED. My husband's and mine, whatever. In my room. I can't get to my stuff. I can't use my private bathroom unless they're up and out (one of them sleeps until noon). To be fair, they did pay to fix the air conditioning in my van. It wasn't completely broken, and I didn't ask them to fix it, and they didn't ask me if they could fix it. They just took the van in. Although it's nice, I guess, I have also been stuck with no vehicle for two days, and have ridden everywhere with them. I think they've paid for my dinner out about three times and for ice cream once. I mention this because this is a courtesy they've provided in return, and I want to be fair. Am I being a normal hostess, an asshole, or a complete pushover (as my mom says) or what? Would it be rude to grab my eldest daughter and go to the beach today by ourselves? Of course when I mentioned it they piped up and said that they wanted to go, but if they go I might as well not.So I was filled with righteous indignation because of all the Yahoo! kindness, and I did the following: 1) In MY bathroom (not the guest bathroom): hung up a hottie nightgown and bra on the door hook immediately next to the door hook my MIL's matronly nightwear and huge, over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder (immature, but that's the phrase that comes to mind each time I see it). This was mean, but I was mad. Her nightwear and big workhorse bra were gone after I returned from the beach. I put mine away, too. 2) Threw their suitcase in MY bedroom. This turned out to be only moderately gratifying, because then I noticed they had MORE stuff in my office (where I am sleeping), like a shopping bag, etc. 3) Continued to sleep in my office on an air mattress 4) Used my own G**D*** guest bathroom because my MIL, who now has a common cold, or the vapors, is sleeping late, in MY BED, blocking MY bathroom, because she is so sick she might have to leave early. <3 you all thx for time & honesty4) Stopped cleaning. Dinner is still on the stove from last night. 5) Though about planting a book with a fake cover that says something like, "Dealing with Your Husband's New Gayness" 6) Felt sick to my stomach because I really know I need to put an end to this but am reluctant to give them the showdown they're gunning forAgain, i appreciate anyone who actually spent time reading this and typing an opinion. I'm not giving a "Best Answer" because I found something in each answer that was thoughtful. Nobody worry! My MIL won't leave early because of illness, this is merely a ploy for attention. Actually, it's one of the less harmful ones. moreVoting Question: omfg how the heck to you clean an airmatress when someone pees on it?

The bed bug situation has gotten out of control. I rented out my house for a year when my sister's husband died and moved in with her, long story. I could only stand it for 4 months. Rented a 1 bdrm apt for 8 months till my tenant's lease ran out. When I took posession of my house it was loaded with bedbugs. We are talking 4 double hand fulls of the things in one bedroom. I paid an exterminator almost $1,000.00 total and was still having to call him back to exterminate again. I personally think this is a racket and we are being bilked money. They spray and within 30 days you are calling and asking them to come again. The trouble with that is that it was getting increasingly more difficult to get an appointment because the damned bug is everywhere. So I started doing Research. Do bedbugs drink like a cockroach? No, they absorb moisture out of the air. A dehumidifier will inhibit them somewhat. Then I found FOOD GRADE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH. It is an off white powder, kinda looks like boric acid but, not the same thing. Diatomaceous Earth totally sucks the life right out the little buggers. Totally dehydrates them completely. After the exterminator told me they were all gone. I moved back in my house, only to find out that we still had them. Needless to say the fight was now on. I put double sided sticky tape on all legs of the furniture. I ordered the bedbug interceptor cups and put under every bed leg and coated the legs of the bed with vaseline so they couldn't climb up. I had already encased every mattress and box springs in heavy plastic, just in case, I am very glad I did. I have had up to 27 bites on me at one time. Since one bedbug will bite you in three places every time unless interrupted (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner) That means 9 of them were on me at one time. This freaked me out and I got mad. The Diatomaceous earth will make your house a mess, dry your feet out and etc. But it is well worth it. I got mine in a huge bag for $14.00 at "The Dog works" at 195 thurman avenue, columbus ohio. Phone 614-449-0045. It is totally organic, safe for pets and children, safe to use except you might get burning of the eyes and cough a little but, Hell, I don't care the damned things are gone. I almost always have bad dreams. I recently got a dream catcher because i believe that they work. I got a small one awhile ago and just now i had a bad dream last night.. In my dream I was sleeping on an air mattress with my friend Caila and we were in my room. Then I woke up and she disappeared and a little girl with short black hair and a white long dress came crawling out from under my bed with scissors trying to kill me. The first defense I had was to grab my pair of scissors right next to me and start stabbing her crazily. I thought she was dead but when i turned my head for a split second she came back to life. I kept stabbing her and she wouldn't die. I called my parents in the other room over and they came over to the room saying what are you doing? thats the girl from the pool! (implying that we knew her and that we belonged to some sort of town pool, which we dont) then i showed them that she was trying to kill me with scissors and so we tried tying her in a sheet and keeping her in it. Then i just kept screaming to my dad get a gun get a gun and he came running with a gun. Before he could shoot her my cousin Molly and her boyfriend Devin walked in my house and I told them to leave because we were trying to kill this girl before she got away. But her boyfriend insisted on telling us something so my dad dropped the gun and ran downstairs to talk to them. The gun fell apart and so i frantically tried putting it together right in front of the girl so i could kill her. My mom was next to me trying to help. Then I just woke up. Does anyone know what this means? by the way, i didn't watch a scary movie last night. i wasn't thinking about anything scary. does anyone actually knowwwww what it could mean? I do like scary movies, but this one was just weird. and the part where i stabbed her with scissors keeps on replaying in my head and freaking me out. 1 day ago moreMore Air Mattresses Results

Not All Air Mattresses Were Created Equal

We’ve gone through our share of air mattresses. They last until the dogs get into the room and jump on them. Ok, so not even the best quality air mattress will hold up to two large mutts. But what of the comfort? I can’t recall the names of air mattresses Past. The one we’re using now whilst Mother is in town is an Intex. I was very excited to find a queen size at EMS for like 80 bucks. Now I know why it was only $80. It sucks! Man, I’d rather be sleeping on the floor! In fact, last night I just moved on over to the couch. If you fill it up too much, it’s really hard. Keep it a tad soft and you’ll be on the floor by morning. Oh, but that’s not all, folks! The “cushions” are so bumpy. My extremities actually fall asleep from this sucky mattress. I’ve paid just under $200 for comfortable queen air mattresses that I was able to sleep on for extended lengths of time. I want to take a knife and slash this one. Penny wise, pound foolish. With 478 retail locations and over 9 different models and styles, Select Comfort is the country’s biggest supplier of adjustable air mattresses. Keep reading for an overview of the Sleep Number air bed, including different models, price points and information on where to find the best deals on your air bed system. Major Features of the Sleep Number Mattress The highlight of the Sleep Number air bed is that it allows each individual sleeper to control the firmness level of their own side. Instead of compromising on your sleep surface, you can make adjustments as you wish. Sleepers set their “Sleep Number” using a remote control that increases or decreases their number. The higher the number, the more firm the bed and the lower the number, the softer it’ll be. There are two remotes, each controlling a separate air bladder compartment on either side of the bed. Another significant selling point for the Sleep Number air Bed is Select Comfort’s 30 day trial period. Basically, consumers can purchase the bed, try it out at home for over 4 weeks and return it within that time period with no questions asked. However, you will be responsible for the return shipping and handling charges. Different Models Select Comfort sells 6 different models of the Sleep Numbe ...
