P.S changing my mattress because I get so hot and not comfortable. ( dunno what type it is ) thank you for your time moreResolved Question: Please help I am struggling with a flea infestation.?
I have a dog who is on expensive Advocate but its not working as he is the worst effected. I think it started on the cat who is half stray/adopted but I used flea spray, groomed him every day and popped a flea collar on him and I have only found 1 flea in 5 days on him. I have sprayed the house, mattresses, sofas etc with expensive flea spray and for a few days didn't see any in the house at all. I had bathed the dog and groomed him but even with the Advocate (he had a new pipette about 2 weeks ago) I am combing 5-20 out of him every day and today I had them jumping on me from my bedroom floor and kitchen floor ahhhh! I have been hoovering twice a day and my house is the cleanest it's ever been and I am really stressing. I also have tried putting Apple Cider Vinegar in the dogs/cats water bowls and so far thats not working (been 5 days). I shall buy some Indorex tommorow and spray house again but am worried it is effected my 3 yr old who plays on the carpets and I was told I can't put anything else on my dog until the Advocate has worn off... Any ideas, I'm desperate, I hate it and feel itchy and depressed :o( moreResolved Question: Mattress on bare floor...?
Having newly move into a property I have been sleeping on a mattress on the bare floor (currently no carpet or laminate). However, I've now found damp patches on the floor under the mattress (no, I don't wet my bed), creating mould. In your opinion, is this likely moisture from the bed user being being trapped under the mattress where there is no air, or a sign of dampness coming up from the floor also being trapped under the mattress.? I'm buying a proper bed and currently deciding what to do with the floor. Thanks in advance. moreResolved Question: Problems in bed. No not what you think!?

I am expecting my 2nd baby in December and am a little confused with the mattress situation. I have a cot mattress that has been used twice and was panning on using it again as its in perfect condition and obviously i will be washing it before i use it again? Is this safe or do i need to purchase a new one? Have read and been told that cot death has been linked to the use of old mattresses sometimes. moreResolved Question: Persistent flea problem?
My flatmates have two cats and we've been dealing with fleas for the whole summer, especially in my room even though the cats are not allowed in there. I've tried everything possible, I vacuum every day, I've washed my linens fanatically, pillows and even thrown away my duvet. I've sprayed the carpet once (sometimes more often) a week as well as the mattress. I last spray the mattress, less than 24 hours ago and I just found another flea. I usually find one a day and always in my bed, never anywhere else and it doesn't matter how often I wash, clean or spray, they always come back. I read somewhere that fleas couldn't go inside your mattress, but it seems to me that is the only logical place, they could stay (and I have moved the bed and vacuumed under it as well as between the mattress and the box spring) I am completely helpless in this situation and need advice that doesn't evolve buying new mattressHi everyone thank your for your answers. I have no idea how this yahoo stuff works, but i wanted to say that the cats are being treated consistently, so I don't think that's the problem. And yes I do think i need to open up my door to the cats so that the fleas will jump on them and not me. And they are being treated with Frontline. moreResolved Question: Bedbugs - does it help buying an air mattress ?

Hi i've been living with my husband in this flat now in manchester for around 18 months. Our mattress is very old, and the springs hurt. We've somehow managed to live but now I'm pregnant, and apart from the obvious difficulties I have to sleep this mattress is killing my back. Our contract ends in October so I have to stay till then. The estate agent says they bought a new one when we took the flat no they wont change it. What can I do? Im really desperate, I could spend £80 and buy a new one. But do I have to do this? legally i dont get any help? Thanks. moreResolved Question: Memory Foam Mattress or Topper?
I need your help please! I live in a shared house with my landlady. Now, my current double bed and mattress belongs to my landlady. The spring mattress is absolute rubbish and has been giving me back-ache, however as I don't own a bed I'm hesitant to buy a mattress (plus, they're so expensive). I mean, what if I move out, and end up with a bed that's bigger (or smaller) than my landlady's bed? So as an alternative, I was thinking of buying a topper. I've never used a topper before, so wasn't sure if it would work...... I've heard a lot of good things about memory foam, so was thinking of buying a 3inch memory foam mattress topper to go on top of the current crap mattress as a) it's cheaper, and b)won't be as problematic when I eventually get my own place and buy my own bed. Do you think it would work and help the bed be more comfy? Or do you reckon I'd be better off investing in a mattress, even though I don't own a bed? Please help! Also, please be aware I'm quite a chunky lady (i'm not MASSIVE but I'm not thin either), so I guess my weight would contribute to how long the topper would last! moreResolved Question: best mattress for my daughter who has scoliosis and is awaiting surgery?

Dear ........ We have been instructed to contact you regarding the bond from ......... It’s been 2 months since we left the property and we still have not received our deposit back. The problems Einir originally gave us are as follows; We were told the carpet in the lounge smelt of dogs. The carpet did not smell of dogs and we have two witnesses to confirm this. We were quoted £100 for cleaning. The cooker was dirty but not 6 months dirty. We have photographs and two witnesses to confirm this. The cooker was black when we moved in and black when we left. However before we left Sam did give it a good scrub with some oven cleaner. We were quoted £50 for this doing which is an absolute joke. The garden was perfect when we left but the staff at the Blaenau office did not go to check the house until two weeks later by which time the garden seemed overgrown. We were quoted £70 for this. Two kitchen doors fell off. You yourself told us not to worry when you came to do the 3 monthly inspection. We also have three witnesses who will confirm the kitchen was a wreck. Most of the other doors are falling off anyway so they’ll fall off for the next tenant. I will be writing them a letter and will stand up in court if you try to take a penny off them. We informed Einir a week after we moved in that one had fell off she replied that Chris would come and have a look. In six months he did not make any effort to come and see the kitchen even though we reminded him at least every two weeks. We told you we were leaving at the end of the tenancy and you said we were welcome back at any time as we were perfect tenants. We were quoted £75 for this which later reduced to £50 then £24. The bathroom door needed replacing and fitting which we agreed to. After all we did break it. We would like to point out that we paid £25 for a rubbish and ugly door when we offered to buy a very nice solid wood one for £15 and fit it ourselves. This wasn’t good enough for the landladies. We feel the mess your builder made is your responsibility. After all the tenancy had ended at that point and we had left. Also he should have put a sheet down to catch the sawdust. We were quoted £25 for the door fitting. The Blaenau office Tried to take the full £370 even though all the quotes added up to £320. These were the quotes that Einir gave us over the phone and were written down on the 1st of June when we drove 300 miles and spent £60 in diesel to sort out this mess. We confronted her about this but she shrugged and said “I don’t really know”. The carpet did not smell of dogs but we put some shake and vac down (cost £5 approx for two cartons and took ½ an hour). We cut all the grass which was overgrown but wasn’t when we left (cost nothing but took an hour). Cleaned the oven (cost £5+ for this nasty acid and took ½ an hour work but left it for 4 hours). After we had spent 2 hours work and spent £10 we called Chris Thomas, he left us waiting 2 hours before he came even though we made an appointment at 3. He said it was all fine and we left to go to the office. Enid wouldn’t log in to the DPS to return our bond, we tried to sort it out but she said she needed to call a few people. The shop closed, we went home and she phoned us a week later to give us a whole new list of problems. These problems are listed below; The kitchen cupboards (see above) at a cost of £50 which was reduced to £24 after we told her they weren’t getting a penny. The “rubbish” they said needed removing was a perfectly good mattress intended for the next tenant and the old bathroom door that your workman left. When we moved in there were piles of rotting food and other household mess left behind the kitchen extension, as well as a pile of rubbish in the shed. We have two witnesses to verify that. We cleared this up without fuss. Cost quoted £15 Cleaning of the cooker and hovering of the sawdust your builder left. The oven was spotless, 20 million times better than when we moved in. Cost quoted £10 The doormat was missing. We threw this doormat in the bin because it stunk of urine. Dave thought you should have the money for the new one, I begrudgingly agreed but I’ve seen an identical one in Argos for £3.99 regardless we agree to pay the £10 you asked for. Bathroom door (see above) we agree to pay £25 for the door fitting. In conclusion we agree to pay £35 for the door and doormat but nothing else. I am sending a letter to the Blaenau office on Monday the 12th of July giving 30 days notice before I take this to court. If we do end up going to court I’ll be applying for the costs involved driving down there on the 1st of June to fix your imaginary problems. I invite you to try and sort this out before then but I won’t pay anything else other than the £35 I’ve already stated. A request for help! Bed sheets - in recent times I have had to fight daily to position my bottom sheet - on to my single size mattress. Why? .......I ask myself. So off I went to buy a couple of new single size fitted sheets - from Primark, and I notice the size is not now 36" x 78" - but smaller 35" x 75" having checked sheets on sale around - all seem to be smaller - can anyone help with a retailer where I can find decent sized sheets to fit a single bed and the size is clearly 36" x 78". Most people I have spoken to tell me they never look at the dimensions - if it states SINGLE SIZE or DOUBLE SIZE ........they accept that - they also tell me - they too now fight the good fight most days to position the bottom sheet. So any help or advice would be very most appreciated. My thanks in advance. moreVoting Question: PLEASE HELP!! Cat problem...?
Hi. I have two beautiful cats who I love dearly and yet they are doing my head in!!! Because there is two of them I am never really sure which one is doing the most bad stuff and I am finding it very difficult to train them. In the past week our bed has been peed on twice and I have only bought a new mattress about three months ago. What can I do? They are a male and female brother and sister who have both been neutered and their litter tray is kept fresh. Is it possible that some cats can not adapt to being indoor cats? They were allowed to go outside for about a month or two when they were younger, but then we moved house and they now have to be indoor cats. I really do not want to have to find them new homes but their behaviour is becoming mental! I buy them scratching toys and posts but they have ruined heaps of new furniture - they constantly chew wires, they constantly meow... I'm very worried. They are not affectionate, like cats who I have know in the past but I think this is because they rely on each other. I would hate to split them up and I would hate to lose them. Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance.Thank you so much for all of your help!! I am armed with a shopping list for tomorrow! I am definately going to get them another litter tray and they are going to get heaps of toys and play time. The only thing is, there is no way that I can get them outdoors. I live in a high rise in the centre of a city. Am I being cruel? That is my worst fear. The flat is really roomy and we are on two levels so they use the stairs and banisters like a climbing frame. They certainly dart about all over the place - is this enough for them? moreResolved Question: Rest Assured Sierra Memory Double Mattress - Any good?

I have a second hand moses basket and stand however dont want to use the second hand mattress or bedding. I have a carry cot with my beep travel system and was thinking of just using this instead of the moses basket thats if it will sit on the moses basket stand? Or will i just buy a new moses basket...? Dunno what to do. When will the baby be put in its cot? moreResolved Question: Is my brother being tight-fisted especially where is baby is concerned?
He is married and they both have well paid jobs and a house. They have a 7 month old daughter. They had lots of gifts for the baby when they had it,including some new clothing essentials. All their baby equipment were second hand, some which i previously owned including a cradle and a bath. They bought a bag of second hand baby clothes for £10 off someone. My brother thought he had a bargain saying they would be worth £200 new, which i doubted very much. They even had baby clothes from me,sleepsuits etc.I do not think either of them have bought the baby any new clothes since having the baby.As the summer is here i felt she needed some summer clothes that were pretty,as the mother just dressed her in trousers and a t shirt. She was pleased wit what i bought. They now use a cot bed that was previously used for the mother when she was a baby 30 years ago,the only thing new was the mattress. Anyway,i am a single parent of a 21 month old son.I was so overwhelmed with love when having my baby and made sure i bought everything i needed, mostly new clothes, new pram, bath, cradle, moses basket etc. Even a cute baby hat and bootees. Now they never even had a hat for their baby in the hospital like most babies do.Even now where the cot bed is concerned ,the sides are quite low,and i warned my brother about the baby sitting up or standing and falling out.Instead of butying a normal cot with high sides,he has decided to buy some wood and alter the sides to make them higher.I asked why,and he said its all to do with saving money. Its not as if they are in debt or hard up,they spend money on holidays abroad and on furnishings in the house no problem. Now,even though i'm a single parent i still feel it important to buy my child essential toys.Like as a toddler he has a sit in car,Smart Trike and a paddling pool now the summers here, stuff that i felt he needed for his age. When he was about 10 months old my parents bought him a swing. It was only used for a few weeks i remember and put away. He's too big for it now and i was going to sell it.Now today he asked me if he could borrow it for his daughter.I told him he could buy it off me.He straight away pulled a strop and said No,he wanted to use it and give it me back when he'd finished with it.I said i don't need it anymore. He then told me to forget it! He said he doesn't want to be lumbered with stuff and having to get rid of them when he's finished. He said he hates clutter.I asked him if he ever intends to buy his daughter essential toys when she's older, bearing in mind they have a massive garden,i said like a slide, childs swing like most kids have,he said No,they intend to take her to the park instead.Do you think they are both tight fisted where their child is concerned? I can't wait to see when she is old enough to play with toys properly what they will do,especially when shes a toddler and getting into everything and needed to be kept occupied. They don't seem to have a clue.Surely you want the best for your baby, but they don't seem to want that.My brother tells me everything and confides in me alot about things, and i know hes not in debt. His wife is Swiss and comes from a well to do family. My brother did not even want children and they only had this child because of medical advice, she was told if they intended to ever have kids, then the sooner the better. She suffers Endo metriosis. I feel that the toys i have bought for my child, they want to borrow for their child eventually and give them me back rather than buy them off me.Its not like they are hard up for cash.My brother said he don't want cluuter in his house or garden and don't want to hassle of selling stuff either. moreResolved Question: Girls what do you think I should do?
I met my girl friend online a few months ago. It is a long distance relationship. She lives 250 miles away from me by car. I have visited her 5 maybe 6 times. She has visited me once and then I drove her here and back to hers. She has a 10 month old child but she lives with her parents and her mother helps her alot. Anyway at the beginning we were very close and I couldn't keep her off me. She said I love you first, txt me every day, msn every other day. She hasn't much money although she works. She had a single bed which we shared when I was there. Very uncomfortable. I had a spare pine double bedstead in my guest room. I offered to give it to her and she enthusiastically accepted. I had a really poor mattress with it. I gave this to her and apologised telling her I'd get her a good one when I could afford it. She declined saying she would get it. Said some hurtful things, paid me no attention whatsoever, showed me zero affection and pushed me away. The evening before I was due to leave she told me she was very unhappy I bought her the mattress and explained why. I had a really poor mattress with it. I gave this to her and apologised telling her I'd get her a good one when I could afford it. She declined saying she would get it. I said no i'll sort it and we left it at that. Long story short I bought her a mattress online. I posted her the link first to see if she liked it as it was a bargain - on sale. She liked it, I bought it. I visited her last weekend. Since bought the mattress she was quite cold with me, acting uninterested, always saying she was either tired, ill or busy. I thought this was just due to the child. The whole weekend I was with her she treated me very badly. Said some hurtful things, paid me no attention whatsoever, showed me zero affection and pushed me away. The evening before I was due to leave she told me she was very unhappy I bought her the mattress and explained why. I was understanding and said I wished she had have told me sooner and that I wont do anything like that again without checking first. I explained that I did it because I care about her and she constantly complained about the old mattress and that her back was killing her and she wasn't sleeping. I made it clear that I had good intentions and that I didn't want her to feel like she owed me something in return (although thats obviously how she did feel). I txt her yesterday to tell her I was home safe after a 6 hr car journey home. Usually she would txt to ask where I was and if I was home and kill the boredom of my journey. She didn't return my txt until 4 hrs after I got home and she blamed it on her having a maniac day. She just work as an office assistant for a small business. It takes several seconds to reply to a txt message. I txt her back, she replied, I sent one more wishing her good night and she didn't reply. The dreaded mattress was delivered today. She txt me this morning at 10:30 am saying "Hiya just to let you know the mattress arrived so thanks for that x" My dilemma is should I reply to this and if yes what should I say. I understand hy she was unhappy about the mattress and I have told her this and asked if we can just put it behind us. However I still think she is being cold with me and I am pretty sick of it. I don't wanna start another fight but I am not putting up with her behaviour anymore, I really don't deserve it. If I don't reply she will be pissed. If my reply is too short and dry she will be pissed. If it is too nice and positive she'll probably be pissed too. So Should I reply and if yes what should I say. Bear in mind too its a late reply. We usually always reply immediately and i we don't give a good reason for late reply. ThanksI talked to my sister and she advises that I dont reply to her txt. That I should let her stew over things. I really dont want things to end?
I met my girl friend on the internet. We have been seeing each other since end of April. Probably chatted online since March. She lives 250 miles from me. She has a 10 month old child. Things between us were going well until recently. I felt that I was making more of an effort at the relationship than she was. But largely I let this go as she had a child to devote her time and energy to. I just had one conversation with her about "where do you see us going" which she largely avoided and didnt really answer any of my questions or concerns. She said I love you first early into the relationship. I think I do love her and said it back. She would txt me every day or other day. She hasn’t much money and shares her home with several members of her family. When I first went down to her I brought her, her parents and her child gifts which were well received. I usually pay for most things we do but with her child we rarely go out. She had a single bed. I had a spare double bed stead. I offered to give it to her and she enthusiastically agreed to his. So I brought it down and she was very happy with it. The mattress I had with it was terrible. When I gave it to her I told her I would get her a proper mattress when I could afford it. She told me she would get it herself. But I said no I’ll sort it for you. So we left it at that. But often she would complain about the mattress and criticise it and say there was nothing wrong with her old mattress. So I got paid at the end of the month and wanted to get her the new mattress as she constantly complained how her back was wrecked and she wasn’t sleeping right. I wanted to show her that I cared for her and was not just in our relationship for sex. So I saw a great mattress online, forwarded her the link and asked her to check it out. She said that it looked good but that she couldn’t afford it yet. So I went ahead and bought it for her confirming that se had liked it. I went down to visit her like we had agreed on Friday passed. She had been cold with me online prior to me coming down but she put it down to her being tired or ill. She wanted me to come down. After a six hour journey I got a frosty welcome. She criticised most things I said or did. She showed me no affection whatsoever. That night I asked her what was wrong with her. She bit my head off and said I was being paranoid, nothing was wrong and that she was simply tired. Her behaviour continued weekend until the Monday (I was returning home on the Tuesday – today). Monday evening late she went to shop. I went with her and finally she talked to me. She asked me how much the mattress cost. I told her price and asked why do you ask? She sharply replied I'll pay you that money back when I can afford it. I said I don’t want you to do that. She said look I hate getting gifts, I’m not one of those people who accept gifts for no reason. Birthdays or Christmas is different. So I said is this why you have been funny all wkend. She confirmed that it was. I said well I wish you had have talked to me about it sooner. She said she found it difficult cos she didnt want "to come across as an ungrateful bit*h" despite being very bitchy to me the entire weekend. I calmly said okay, I had no idea you felt this way but I understand what you are telling me. She went into one then about how she should have bought the mattress herself that the new mattress is mine and will never be hers. Again I told her I understood what he was saying. I told her look I didnt buy it to you so you would give me anything in return, I did it cos I care about you a lot. She said she knew that and that is why it was so tough for her to tell me how she felt. I said look I won’t buy you anything like that again without discussing it with you. The reason I bought this is because I felt it was something you urgently needed and that you would never buy it for yourself and I went ahead and bought it because I knew you never would have let me buy it to you. Again she said she knew this. I said look can we not just both chalk this whole misunderstanding down to experience and move passed it. She agreed to do this. I asked if anything else was the matter. She said no. Are you sure, she said no. So I thought we were okay. We went to sleep last night. I had to ask her to kiss me good night. I got a very quick kiss. I asked her to wake me up in the morning before she leaves for work to kiss me good bye. She did this this morning. Again a very quick half hearted kiss no hug. I txt her when I got home after a long journey. Just to say I was home as she would always like to know before when I got home safely. I simply said "hiya, thats me home now x". She hasn’t replied yet. Usually she replies quite quickly unless she has a good reason. She may well have a genuine reason. But then again maybe she doesn’t. I just feel bad, so many other pregnant women I meet are splashing out on the most expensive prams etc. But we simply haven't got the money to do so! I lost my job at the end of March and we have a ton of things which need doing in the house as well as baby things to buy. We don't have generous family/friends to help us out. So it all has to be done as cheaply as possible (or free in the case of things you can pick up from freecycle!) Obviously I know all the "rules" like not buying second hand carseats and making sure the baby has a new mattress in their cot/moses basket, and obviously I will wash eveything first and make sure its clean and safe. But I just feel bad. I so wanted a lovely new pink buggy for my baby girl but it looks like we'll be making do with a navy blue second hand one. There seems to be such a snobbery about getting things second hand and it makes me feel awful. Has anyone else been in the same boat?We got rid of most of our son's stuff for two reasons. One was lack of space for storage and two was that we didn't expect to have another baby (fertility problems!) this one was a total surprise. A lot of my son's things were second hand also - but they were things that people gave to us. I didn't like the travel system I had for him, it was too bulky, so I was happy to freecycle it once he'd grown out of it. I have some clothes, blankets, moses basket, cot etc, but I'm afraid I didn't hang onto everything else . . . moreResolved Question: Is it true its not safe to put a newborn baby straight into a cot?
Hi all =] My friend told me the other day that this can increase the risk of cot death, is this true??? Basically i know a lot of people buy moses baskets etc for their newborns, though i have quite a large dog and am worried she could possibly knock a moses basket and the stand over (im not planning on allowing the dog to sleep in same room as baby, however baby is sharing the same room as me and there will be times my dog will be in the bedroom too, supervised of course, however i just dont think it would be safe to have a moses basket.) Anyway, i really wanted to get a cot but now i feel slightly put off by what my friend said. I wanted to get one with two levels, if that makes any difference??? (By two levels i mean its adjustable; like when a baby is newborn the cot is more raised where the mattress bit is, so its easier to lift baby out etc). I just want to make the right choice, im an anxious person anyway and this is my first baby, i just want everything to go Ok, i worry i could make the slightest little mistake which could have devastating consequences =[ im already scared because im due to give birth in the middle of August and im scared that it will be BAKING hot and i dont know how a newborn would cope with this, i have bought a room thermometer etc but still, there are so many worries to think about... Im a non smoker, i dont drink alcohol and not planning on sharing bed with baby; i have heard these are also risk factors for cot death... What do you guys think about the cot situation? Many thank you's in advance, God Bless =] ~x~ moreVoting Question: Types of Moses Basket Mattress?
Hi, I bought a second hand Moses basket for my baby due on the 30th June. I have bought a new mattress as I know you shouldn't let the baby sleep on an old mattress but it seems thinner than the one it came with. Would it be ok to put the new mattress on top of the old one for extra cushioning or should I just throw the old one out? Also should I get a plastic / wipe clean mattress or cover or could this be a breathing risk to the baby? Me and my partner are entitled to a 2 bedroom place soon as the baby is born. We did view places and try to get into a 1 bed place just so we'd be settled before the baby was here but they wouldn't except us as they think we'd be better off waiting till we can get a 2 bed house. So baby will be here very soon, but we are currently staying with my partners mother. We'll be here only a couple weeks after the baby is born. I'm very worried that she is going to interfer when the baby is here. You know, tell me how to do things, tell me I'm doing something wrong. She is very much that type of person and I don't want her to do this. Its my parenting experience. We have a perfectly new moses basket gifted from my parents but the mother in law still insists we use her moses basket that was kept in the attic for over 20 years. She also insists we must buy it another mattress. I find this unessacary, we've got one and would rather spend our money on other stuff the baby actually NEEDS. When we showed her the moses basket my parents brought (quite a while ago) she acted as though she hated us. So I know her reaction won't be great. Do I just tell her to back off if need be? Do I just tell her we won't be using her moses basket? I don't want to offend her but I want to be comfortable with my own baby.I know I'm in her home. Thats only because she's made it so hard for us to get out of her home. She's been trying to keep us here. And I think I should have MY say when it comes to my own baby... moreResolved Question: Should we hire a campervan to drive around the USA?
We are travelling around the USA from mid september to the end of october. We were going to hire a car and buy a tent and stay at various campsites throughout california, portland, utah and nevada. However we've seent that it is only about £200 more to hire a basic campervan with a mattress in the back. We're on a tight budget and have been looking at prices for campsites and its a bit more expensive in some camps if you are in an RV - does this include campervans (we wouldn't need to hook up to electricity or anything). Do campsites let you bring a campervan but sleep in a tent? Does anyone have any advice about camping in the USA? Thanks! moreVoting Question: Back pain/problems. What changes to my bed can help?
I am 6'4 and weight 200+ pounds. I have a double bed which I got for around £279. It is quite cheap but it had a memory foam layer (which turns out to be shit) for the mattress. I got this bed because my other one was giving me seriously back problems. For the first few weeks it was fine and I could feel the difference it was making, but recently I have had some scares and the other day it felt like my lower back went and I would get these weird pains (like I could feel the back bones rubbing against each other) when I moved in certain ways. Long story short, I really can't afford to buy another bed and my room does not have nearly enough size for a king size. So I was thinking if I could change things about my bedding which are likely to help. Anyone got any advice? I was thinking of getting a new pillow (John Lewis have those Super Comfort ones which feel amazing when I touch them (I work there)) and one of those memory foam layers (god knows what's with me and this stuff), but those are really expensive. Any advice anybody? BTW: I am 21, 6'4 and the feeling I get when I am sleeping is like I am lying on my stomach and someone is lifting my legs over my head. I get the feeling on the top of my neck and lower back then the whole is bending towards each other at each end. I also constantly have a stiff back and I now naturally take much longer to to bend down and get things and find my self also supporting myself before I reach down and grab almost anything. moreResolved Question: Im thinking of selling a single bed and matress how much do you think i might get for it?

Please help ! my friend has MS and needs a new bed but she cant have a divan as she needs a bed on legs for her hoist , so could anyone suggest where i can buy a bed on legs that has no slats under the mattress. MANY THANKS moreResolved Question: I bought a camapervan off ebay, seller lied?
The camper van was advertised as in need of 'a little tlc and a wipe down' due to it been in storage and had 'very low mileage of 20k'. Firstly it arrived with a window missing, they hadn't checked the latches before letting the courier load it so one went missing in transit, secondly it was rotten all around the back quarters and requires nearly £3000 of repair, a little more than 'TLC', I had to hoover toe nail clippings off the floor, remove personal belongings from the cupboards. The ceiling is soaked and skylight cracked, top bed damp, mattress no good, dash board rusted to window, furnishings damp throughout. Gets better... It arrived straight to a garage who put it through MOT fixing various things and was then delivered to me, i then find out its a write off AND in 1997 had 56k mileage on it so must have bee around at least once. Before I paid for it I spoke to the owner to ask about the mileage and he said he was sure it was genuine because it was his fathers before he had it. Furthermore they didn't give V5 to courier, they claim to have sent it to me but im not sure as its been 4 working days. I have no way at the moment of looking at dates to work out when they owned it and if it was written off in their possession or if the mileage had been between 56k and 100k in their ownership, what I can say is it came from an area of the country that was badly flooded about 5 years ago and I suspect the write off is flood damage. Please can I have no 'why didnt you view' comments as this isnt helpful. I read the listing carefully, I called the seller and asked many questions about the condition and mileage, none turned out to be true. I want what I paid for the vehicle back PLUS the costs of MOT'ing it, and I want it removed form my drive. Is this reasonable? Alternatively i'd accept the difference in the value of the actual vehicle offset against the vehicle they 'illustrated' to me. (around £700) I realise a private seller has no obligation to tell me its written off but surely they cant say its got 20k low miles and needs TLC when it's really this bad??Didn't pay by paypal, did a deal privately, the seller ended the item at the current price which was about 2/3rds of what i actually paid, i can prove what i paid though, ebay and paypal no good to me on this occasion... If only i had used paypal. I really wish I had despite hating paypal with a vengeance. moreResolved Question: What mattress should i buy for my 4 year old?

Also, does anyone know how quickly it could be sorted out as if i have to come up with a deposit i will not even be able to buy a mattress to sleep on! I will ring the council tomorrow but they were shut by the time i had viewed the property. Thanks i really need help! :) xx moreResolved Question: Help with housing benefit and home bond on a privately rented property :)?

A friend of mine has been to the CAB and been told she is eligible for a debt relief order (DRO) she is going to fill the forms in in the next few weeks to be sent off She is thinking about maxing her catalogue account out and getting a few things that she can not afford to buy, like a TV and new mattress. I have told her i don't think it is a good idea because when they send the papers off they may check when she last ordered something, can they do that or do they just look at the overall debt? Thanks Jennifer, thats what i thought, it is a HUGE risk because if it is declined for that simple fact it is daft and the debt will still be there! moreResolved Question: where can i buy pillow and mattress protectors cheap for my allergy to house dust mites?
