Open Question: when can i stop worrying about bed bugs?

so last tuesday (about 9 days ago), i woke up with about 6 bug bites on my body (3 in one triangle on my back, 2 next to each other on my side, and 1 on my chest), that itched and swelled up just like how i react to mosquito bites. i didn't think much of it as i am prone to mosquito bites, tho after i innocently looked it up on google, i started to panic when i read about bed bugs and their recent comeback. i haven't slept well since then and this anxiety is really getting to me. does anyone know how long i have to worry? i haven't gotten any new bites since that day, so how often do they feed? when am i in the clear? i have also searched my bed sheets, mattress, box spring, head board, floors, walls, and surrounding areas pretty thoroughly, and actually just did again right before this. i have found no evidence of them (such as stains, excrement, shedding cases, or bugs themselves). would those things surely be present if i had beg bug(s)? i just wanna sleep well again and not be afraid of my bed. i obviously dont want bed bugs but i want to just know if i have them or dont, and get an exterminator if i do more

Part 1-School days Last year, I did pretty good in school, with nothing less than an A- and a lot of A's and A+'s and my year average was in the low 90's. I want to keep it that way, or maybe even get it a bit higher. I am very picky when it comes to school, I need to be "the best"(No pressure from family or anything, just so you know!) But at the end of last year, my grades kinda started to slip because I got so disorganized at home! I have a terrible desk, with absolutely no storage space. I should be getting a new one soon, but still. Last year, all my books and notebooks and stuff were all over! How can I get more organized this year? I am definitely getting a new desk, but what else should I do? How can I keep that new desk organized? Just any little tips or tricks to help me stay on top of my game next year, because school is very important to me, even though I am only going into the 7th grade! I am in a middle class family, so a college or even high school scholarship would be very helpful!So, I want to keep my grades up so hopefully that does happen! Part 2- Room/ organization at home regarding school I am So disorganized at home! My room is usually a mess, and stuff is scattered everywhere. This summer, a friend helped me organize my room, and I kept at it for about a week, but now it is soooo hard! And if I can't keep it up during the summer, how could I possibly do it during school? What can I do to try and stay organized at home? Also, I have been known to double book, so I make 1 plan, and then forget about the first plan and make a second plan! Resolved Question: Please help I am struggling with a flea infestation.?

I have a dog who is on expensive Advocate but its not working as he is the worst effected. I think it started on the cat who is half stray/adopted but I used flea spray, groomed him every day and popped a flea collar on him and I have only found 1 flea in 5 days on him. I have sprayed the house, mattresses, sofas etc with expensive flea spray and for a few days didn't see any in the house at all. I had bathed the dog and groomed him but even with the Advocate (he had a new pipette about 2 weeks ago) I am combing 5-20 out of him every day and today I had them jumping on me from my bedroom floor and kitchen floor ahhhh! I have been hoovering twice a day and my house is the cleanest it's ever been and I am really stressing. I also have tried putting Apple Cider Vinegar in the dogs/cats water bowls and so far thats not working (been 5 days). I shall buy some Indorex tommorow and spray house again but am worried it is effected my 3 yr old who plays on the carpets and I was told I can't put anything else on my dog until the Advocate has worn off... My dog roxy is a 7 mo. old rottweiler and she literally EATS EVERYTHING! For a while there she was even eating her own poop. She eats plastic,wood,sheetrock,carpet,shoes,mattresses,pillows,clothes,paper,rope,vinyl. The list goes on and on and she doesn't just shred theses things she literally eats some of it cuz it comes out in her poop. She is feed top of the line canned and dry 3 times a dry. Canned 1 time a day. About 4-5 cups of food a day. We feed her no people food. Bones occasionally. Yet she continues to have diarrhea quiet often from all of the above she eats i'm assuming. She is the most stubborn dog i have ever known. Example; her newest thing is if she sees something in garbage she will wait till no one is in the room and go pull it out like a tamale wrapper and she was punished not 1 but 2 times and she pulled it out a 3rd time. never had a problem with her with garbage till just lately. She is very high strung and requires allot of exercises and attention EVERYDAY. which some days it just cant be done enough. Have to go to work ya know. She will play tug a war all day if you could or go for walks/runs/bike rides. I'm at my wit ends with it all but mainly with her continuous need to chew and eat EVERYTHING! I'm so tired of telling her that is a no all day. Please any and all suggestions are much appreciated. I thought about a nice short time out rope where she can't reach anything?i check her all the time for worms and she;s had them a couple of times of(she probably eat them too) course,but i nip it in the butt.I would go brooke buying enough bitter spray to spray entire house and every thing in it which is whati would have to spray cuz you never know what she will try next. HI I have a major problem. A few weeks ago, a mother and son came to check out my basement for a room (for the son). The mother later paid the money for the sons 1st and last and then she left. I have her a receipt for the cheque. We also had a verbal contract and said that we would get the lease for the son to sign on the move in date. Yesterday, the son callled and said he does not want the room and wants the money back. I sent an email saying that I cannot as I have already paid for the new bed, mattress, table and chair. I told her that I will give the last month back but I will keep the first to cover the loss.Then I said that if I get a tenant before September 15th, then I can five half the first month back. Now I have to look for tenants and the chances would be slim because school starts in a few days. Now the mother is saying that it is against the landlord and Tenant law and how verbal contracts do not exist. What should I do??? HELP PLEASE :SThe cheque has a signature of the tenants mom And I had a signature on the receipt. Also for the first answer, can I prove a verbal contract if I have a copy of the cheque? Without getting a lawyer? Okay so I am a college student who just moved off campus and my landlord showed us a DIFFERENT house than the one I am currently living in. My house number is 25 1/2 but my lease says 25. I liked the room in 25, but in this house, it is NOT like that at all. In my room, the door is incapable of locking(NOT broken, just too old and has NO lock) NO window screens There is a ladder outside that leads to my bedroom. The window doesn't lock There is a blood stain in the closet.. My mattress has bed bugs. I told him about it. He said he replaced it with a 'NEW' mattress while I was in class. To my horror, there are vomit and urine stains COVERING it. The shower window faces our neighbors porch and has no thing for curtains. It smells terrible in the bathroom. There are many broken panels in the hallways, so bats fly in and out..... I cannot take this any longer. What should I do? ma 1 year old has bites on her hands, fingers and forearms, mostly on the right. she also has 3 much smaller bites on her right cheek. the ones on her hands and arms seem grouped close together and all had tiny fluid filled heads on them. i've never seen mesquito bites grouped on twos or threes like that, but the past 2 nites i was outside with her at dusk for quite some time. i also got bitten around the ankles and legs but they were spread far apart. i checked her crib and mattress seams but found nothing. what am i looking at here. more

Sorry if this is long. I'm 16. I live with my mom. My dad moved out about 3 years ago. Ever since then my mom has been constantly putting me down. She says I'm stupid, a horrible daughter, and that I only care about myself. She curses at me. She yells at me for doing absolutely nothing. She has broken things in my room. She throws stuff at me. It gets to the point that I just lock myself in my room and bawl my head off. If it gets too bad I go to my dad's and she tells me not to come back. Then she calls back days later telling me to come home. I can't do it anymore. I want to live with my dad. But I'm scared to move out. I know for a fact that my mom will hate me if I move out. No matter what, she's still my mom, and her hating me will bother me a lot. I also have 2 dogs that she would never let me take with me. I'm scared to leave them with her. And I don't think she's emotionally stable. I'm scared that if I move out she'll kill herself. Also, my dad lives in a very small apartment and he can't afford much more. I would have to sleep on an air mattress. What should I do? I've been thinking about this for 2 1/2 years now. I need some second opinions. Thanks in advance. more

My family and I are throwing a halloween party this year and I plan on making a haunted maze...I would like some ideas if you had any? So far the only ideas I have are have the tour guide pulled into the woods after leading the people about 1/4th of the way...then have a little tunnel you walk through and when you step in it they are walking on a spring mattress...(I had this happen to me at a maze once and it startled me a little bit haha)....and at the end have some actors chase the people out of the maze using "chainsaws" (leaf blower)...any other ideas for the rest of the maze? He even follows her to the bathroom as she brushes her teeth. When he holds her, it’s constant. When standing in a parking lot, he has his arm around her. What I noticed was that he lightly brushes his hands over her skin. When she stands next to him while he sits, he has his hand around her leg, above the knee cap. One, he had his hand around the back of her neck as she talked to people. 8: One day, he didn’t want to go to her house because he didn’t feel like it. She had to go over to his house to make him happy. Note that he lives an hour and a half away from her house. 9: Someone made a mess in the kitchen and she was trying to look over to see. But he forcefully pushed her back, telling her to stay put. 10: There’s a mat in the kitchen of my house and he was standing on it. He wanted her to stand on it, she didn’t hear him the first time and he repeated himself in a angry voice. 11: He has done this multiple times, that he would, innocently done, break up conversations between me and her. Once, I was standing back a few feet from her, leaning in, asking how she was when he came over, stood between me and her with his back toward me. 12: She locked herself out of her car once, and a bunch of us were around, waiting. She was on the phone. It was cold out so I tried to be funny by using him as a shield against the cold. But he said he was going over to her because he thought she was talking about him. 13: A group of us were at a lake, and as were about to leave, I found and picked a tiny flower. Ok, so i'm a mother of 2 small children, a daughter who is 4 and a son who is 1. Yesterday I discovered my daughter had head lice for the first time. I don't know where she got it...but I treated her hair, washed EVERYTHING in my home that could be washed, dried all the pillows and stuffed animals that couldn't be washed on high heat for 20 minutes, and sprayed the mattresses with the RID lice spray that you can get for furniture. We got nearly ever nit out of my daughters hair, but i'm sure we missed a few seeing as how she has hair down to her bottom and it's very thick. But there were no live bugs that I could see. But i'm freaking out because I have never dealt with head lice before!! I feel like I am never going to get it out of my house! About an hour after I did my daughters hair I saw a live bug on her forehead, not sure if it jumped from somewhere else or survived the treatment. Then tonight I get home from work and my son has 1 live bug in his hair, he has blonde hair which is pretty short so it was very easy to spot. I killed and it and proceeded to pick about 5 nits that I found in his hair out. Now I don't know what to do!!! Can someone PLEASE give me some advice...I am so stressed and overwhelmed. Now dogs are being deployed in prisons to help curb one of the most serious problems confronting corrections officials: smuggled cell phones. Cell phones smell. And their distinct odor can lead a welltrained canine to a device hidden under a mattress, stashed into a wall or tucked into a fan or radio. Inmates use them to arrange drug deals, plot escapes and attacks, coordinate riots and harass victims. "They have 24 hrs a day to figure out how to hide these from us," said Sgt. Wayne Conrad, who leads the K-9 program in Cali. "I couldn't tell you how long it would take me to go through every nook and cranny in a cell. But when these dogs work, they pick up the odor and go right to it." For security reasons, Conrad won't say what the scent is, but says dogs can find it whether the phone is on or off, broken into pieces or concealed in another electronic device. Cell phone sniffing dogs have been dispatched in prisons in a handful of states, including California, Florida, Texas, Virginia and Maryland, as other methods to heel the problem have fallen short or run into regulatory or budgetary constraints. There are currently 14 dogs working in California's 33 prisons. Five of them are specifically trained as cell phone sleuths. By the end of the summer, the K-9 unit will have 23 dogs trained, about half in finding cell phones, the other half in narcotics. The program continues to grow despite California's $19 billion budget deficit because it's cheap: the dogs are donated by rescue groups and trained onsite for eight weeks at a facility in Galt, about 20 miles south of Sacramento. As of May of this year, California prison officials had already confiscated 4,800 cell phones through the K-9 program and other random searches. They seized nearly 7,000 last year, up from just 261 in 2006. Cell phones are smuggled into prisons through visitors and staff. They're stuffed in cakes, hidden in hollowed out books, thrown over prison walls in garbage bags, transported in laundry delivery, broken apart and brought in bit by bit and disguised as wristwatches or radios. "They have hidden them inside a body cavity," Conrad said. A smuggler can fetch up to $1,000 for a phone, and prisoners rent them out to other inmates for $50 a day, said Richard Subia, California's associate director for adult prisons. California lawmakers recently passed legislation that would make cell phone smuggling a misdemeanor and fine the offender up to $5,000. The bill is currently on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk. The U.S. House last month passed a bill that would ban the use or possession of cell phones or wireless devices in federal prisons and classify those devices as contraband. The U.S. Senate also has passed a similar bill, sponsored by California Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who noted that one fired guard admitted making close to $150,000 in a year smuggling cell phones. The legislation would subject anyone trying to provide a cell phone to an inmate to up to a year in prison Concerned about safety, more than 20 states last year petitioned the Federal Communications Commission to allow them to jam cell phone signals at state prisons. The high tech solution is currently prohibited because any disruption would also affect neighboring communities. "So that's when it came back to dogs," Subia said. "We found our resources weren't enough to keep up with the discovery of cell phones." Another problem is that cell phones are getting smarter, and their uses more sinister. "Inmates take pictures of security procedures and drills and send them to people on the outside," Conrad said. "Sex offenders communicate with young kids by posting videos on YouTube and MySpace. This isn't just about safety in prisons. It's safety for the outside, too." At a recent training demonstration, Conrad and another handler, Brian Pyle, brought 7-year-old Caesar and 2-year-old Drako into a mock prison dorm to search for contraband. To the dogs, Belgian Malinois, it's all fun and games. They search for their toy, and when they find it, they bark at it, bite and scratch. Caesar goes first and locates a phone tucked into a vacuum. Drako finds a phone hidden in a light socket. They go across the room and uncover phones under mattresses, in shoes, in a VCR, in a locker. I need some kind of new method of getting my daughter to sleep through the night.. she used to be perfect.. she went to bed at like 12 and slept til 8 without a peep.. Now she wakes up every hour pulling on me to come up and breastfeed.. (I lay on the couch and i setup her mattress on the floor next to me).. I miss my damn bed and sleeping with my husband though.. All our family members and our pedi is telling me i just have to let her "cry it out".. I just can't though.. I feel too bad.. and I know she won't even eventually fall asleep she's very stubborn.. It's the boob she's addicting to.. So last night I tried everything.. the pacifer, just water.. nothing worked she just wants to lay on top of me all night and drink milk while she sleeps.. She is extremely heavy and crushes my ribs cag so that doesn't really work for me.. I've been letting her lay side by side with me but I don't like that either.. Co sleeping really really makes me nervous.. I'm 5x her weight i shouldn't be laying with her.. I just need to find a way for her to sleep in her own crib.. also she CANNOT fall asleep herself.. she needs the boob every single time she wants to sleep.. it's misery for the people that babysit her somtimes because she won't even nap with having a boob first.. i want to find out a way for her to 1. So I have had these symptoms for quite sometime now and so far every doctor I go to kind of brushes it off as nothing (with no explanations other than the possibility or having the stomach flu) but this is getting bothersome!! Now before you say I am pregnant please read my entire post properly. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests within this month (1 at the doctors, 2 home tests) all results negative. My period has been normal. It started out about 3 or 4 weeks ago. My appetite was gone and the idea of food made me want to puke. When I finally began to feel hungry I could barely eat, I constantly felt nauseous and full. I have had an upset stomach for a long time now (gross I know) and the other day only mucus came out. I have felt really sick in the mornings and without an alarm I can't seem to wake up(15+ hours of sleep) I have never had a problem with motion sickness but now whenever I get on the bus I feel as if I am going to projectile vomit on other passengers. I have been more sensitive to smell. Also my breasts have been really freaking sore!! I mean holy crap! I don't think I can say in words how much they ache! I am a 36D so I would like to think I am not growing anymore. I am wearing a proper sized bra(went to get measured) the pain I feel is either like a dull pain on the side or some shooting pain that goes from the top to my nipple (sorry I'm starting to get graphic aren't I?) also they are sore whenever they are touched. Oh also it feels like there is so much freaking mucus in between my throat and nose (for like 6 months) I know I sound so whiny but I am getting tired of my doctor saying it's the stomach flu! Any opinion helps! Thank you!! (additional details that may or may not help: My period started when I was 10, I had a miscarriage back in Nov 2009, had an ulcer back in 2008, have been checked for Lupus back in 2007 results were neg. So i recently was diagnosed with an ulcer. I was on antibiotics for 2 weeks and it completely killed the h. pylori bacteria. In the process i somehow lost 12 lbs, my blood pressure was regular again (i was slightly hypertensive before) my cholesterol shot down tons of points to a level better than most healthy people, my triglycerides were way down as well. My doctor was amazed for he had never seen such a drastic change in numbers. He ran another blood test to make sure nothing had been mixed up at the lab somehow and it came back the same. He was simply astonished and so i left his office feeling pretty good and wanting to lose more weight and change my habits so i would never have to experience another ulcer again. About 1 week later i started experiencing trouble sleeping. at first, it felt like bugs were jumping on me and then jumping off. I wasn't finding bite marks or anything just crawling. I assumed it was bed bugs initially but i have found no evidence (bites, droppings, shed skin, etc) of any bugs whatsoever. I then thought it could be fleas or lice jumping on me but not biting but that isn't common with their typical behavior. I slept at my girlfriends house one night to see if i would still feel the crawling sensation. what she found kinda scares me and i cant find anything online relevant to my problem. So apparentely once i fell asleep, i started talking in my sleep which isn't typical for me at all. She noticed that shortly after i became insanely hot. Like i was soaked in sweat and she couldn't lay next to me bc i was radiating heat. I woke up at about 4am and sat up. I could feel the radiant heat from the mattress. It felt like there was a heating pad underneath me or something. I quickly grabbed a thermometer to check my temperature. It read 97.5 which shows no elevation at all. I had my girlfriend take her temp to make sure the thermometer wasn't uncalibrated or something. Hers read 98. since then, ive woken up many times (usually around 4 or 5am) and cant go back to sleep. All day i feel lethargic and exhausted. I dont know if its related to the antibiotics i took for the ulcer or not. I found that often people who take such antibiotics as Flagyl kill all of the bad bacteria as well as the good bacteria and can sometimes get an overgrowth of yeast as a result which can lead to crawling sensations and overheating. Does this sound like a legitimate explaination or is it likely to be something different? I haven't been able to see a doctor bc i work every day and as a chef its hard to really get days off. I thought it would eventually subside but every night i feel like im on fire. does anybody have any suggestions or ideas? Please help! more

Let me firstly say that I am never spot on with my period. I am usually a couple of days late/early but never have i been 2 and a 1/2 weeks late. I have 1 cigarette a day maybe and have been doing for the past year, my weight is the same, i have been doing nothing differently. I researched symptoms of pregnancy, and i noticed that the lines around my breasts are a bit bluer, i never noticed before, also i keep getting a dull ache in my belly every 2/3 days and i usually get it when im due for my period but its been happening for the past 2 1/2 weeks and it still hasn't come. One day i fell to sleep after work, woke up and had a horrible sickly feeling, and have had the odd sickly feeling after eating my lunch but this passes shortly. I am going to the toilet normally but most of the time there is hardly anything there, an i feel like i have a full bladder. My stomach feels bloated the majority of the time and i sometimes wake up with a back ache (but dont know if this is due to my mattress) I took 2 pregnancy test within the first 8 days of me missing my period and they were both negative, i haven't taken one since. Resolved Question: Does Any1 Else Experience Sleep Paralysis On A Whole New Level?

Does any1 else feel "Sleep Paralysis" is an outer body experience? I have common experiences: 1) Once i was sleeping in bed and awake with sleep paralysis. Paralyzed really from my bed yet what i am doing was "sitting in a black folding chair" that is actually standing next to my computer desk; paralyzed next to my bed facing a coffee table with a "computer" (really isn't there either) placed on it. My eyes were open faintly trying to see clear but my vision was blurry. I felt myself trying what felt like minutes to move and than just drop lifeless to my mattress...after the paralyzed state subsides, i "splash onto my bed" i open my lids seeing the ceiling fan spinning. This never happened, yet it wasn't a dream. IT was just as real as me typing this now :/ 2) I was sleeping at a friends house in an open bedroom and all of a sudden i awaken with this unfortunate feeling. What I am doing during this is "walking into another room" and "talking to a friend, lights on" & than I head back to the one room I came from. All of a sudden I realized I am actually sleeping because within an instance, what just happened was like a blink of an eye. I am paralyzed to the bed with my eyes shut because with all my strength they could not open...A minute later, I think I am "seeing a friend of mine, standing up and looking down". I am pleading for the friend to lift me up because I cant move. I feel my arms raising into the air & than *snap*, half way of being sat up; My eyes really open and what I saw flying towards me from the pitch blackness...the most evilest thing. From what i remember, it was a demonic apparition flying towards me like lightning. I felt myself "screaming like a girl" as I "snap the sheets over my face and curl". What felt like a second later, no longer am I paralyzed. I woke up, the room filled with sun... P.S. I have had many paranormal experiences since the age of 6. The hearing of the name whispered into my ear, poltergeist, the white sheet standing in front of my bed. A full apparition of an old man sitting on my bed with his hands placed on his lap, even a wheelchair moving out of nowhere doing a 360. Alot more stories which would be even detail. Mostly it would be the man who died in this house prior to living. His name was Alex. Yet he is friendly and makes his appearances without meaning or causing actual evil harm...The 2nd incident of the sleep paralysis had taken place at a friends; I looked it up and what they told me about the demon i saw flying into me is that this happens normally in west African tribes. They described him in detail and said this means "you are not possessed by a ghost, you are the ghost's possession; he owns you". I cant find that site anymore and have since tried many occasions to find the link. Not shocked, I always knew I had a 6th sense but was little nervous discovering I am actually owned by another spirit like I am his slave or something. Resolved Question: Having Sleeping Issues?

I know it's long but this is driving me crazy? :/ It started around like two months ago, nothing that I know of started it, it just happened. The first night no matter how hard I tried I could not fall asleep. I figured maybe I just slept in to long or had to much sugar or something, but the following day I was wide awake even though I had no sugar, coffee, soda, I exercised to exhaust myself, and when night rolled around again I was still wide awake. I layed in bed for hours and did everything I could think of to sleep but nothing worked, so I stayed up all night and into the next day I was awake with not being tired at all. By the third night I was able to fall asleep around 5 a.m, but woke up around 7 a.m feeling awake and completely refreshed. The 5-7 sleeping went on for a couple weeks, and wouldn't change no matter how hard I tried. Then I started to become exhausted during the day and could hardly function. One night I fell asleep around 1 a.m., but woke up 10-15 minutes before 2 a.m., then I'd be awake until 5 or 6ish but wake up at 8. That's currently going on and I can be so tired I can't keep my eyes open but I never fall asleep, I'm uncomfortable (it's not the mattress, I just can't get in a good position), it gets hard to breathe if I try to relax so I have to get up for a few minutes and lay back down. But it seems the no sleep at all is coming back, because last night I feel asleep at about midnight but woke up about 20-30 min later and I'm still 100% awake, haven't been tired at all, and it's almost midnight again... I'm always dizzy and getting bad headaches as well.. And I won't be taking sleeping pills...my mom won't let me, she thinks I'll relax myself so much I'll stop breathing or something like that... Resolved Question: Does any1 else feel "Sleep Paralysis" is an outer body experience?

I have common experiences: 1) Once i was sleeping in bed and awake with sleep paralysis. Paralyzed really from my bed yet what i am doing was "sitting in a black folding chair" that is actually standing next to my computer desk; paralyzed next to my bed facing a coffee table with a "computer" (really isn't there either) placed on it. My eyes were open faintly trying to see clear but my vision was blurry. I felt myself trying what felt like minutes to move and than just drop lifeless to my mattress...after the paralyzed state subsides, i "splash onto my bed" i open my lids seeing the ceiling fan spinning. This never happened, yet it wasn't a dream. IT was just as real as me typing this now :/ 2) I was sleeping at a friends house in an open bedroom and all of a sudden i awaken with this unfortunate feeling. What I am doing during this is "walking into another room" and "talking to a friend, lights on" & than I head back to the one room I came from. All of a sudden I realized I am actually sleeping because within an instance, what just happened was like a blink of an eye. I am paralyzed to the bed with my eyes shut because with all my strength they could not open...A minute later, I think I am "seeing a friend of mine, standing up and looking down". I am pleading for the friend to lift me up because I cant move. I feel my arms raising into the air & than *snap*, half way of being sat up; My eyes really open and what I saw flying towards me from the pitch blackness...the most evilest thing. From what i remember, it was a demonic apparition flying towards me like lightning. I felt myself "screaming like a girl" as I "snap the sheets over my face and curl". What felt like a second later, no longer am I paralyzed. I woke up, the room filled with sun... P.S. I have had many paranormal experiences since the age of 6. The hearing of the name whispered into my ear, poltergeist, the white sheet standing in front of my bed. A full apparition of an old man sitting on my bed with his hands placed on his lap, even a wheelchair moving out of nowhere doing a 360. Alot more stories which would be even detail. Mostly it would be the man who died in this house prior to living. His name was Alex. Yet he is friendly and makes his appearances without meaning or causing actual evil harm...The 2nd incident of the sleep paralysis had taken place at a friends; I looked it up and what they told me about the demon i saw flying into me is that this happens normally in west African tribes. They described him in detail and said this means "you are not possessed by a ghost, you are the ghost's possession; he owns you". I cant find that site anymore and have since tried many occasions to find the link. Not shocked, I always knew I had a 6th sense but was little nervous discovering I am actually owned by another spirit like I am his slave or something. Again this is mostly experienced (that demon) in west African tribes...the weird part, I live in New York :/ Any1 else experience the horrible experience and that demonic apparition evade your body and i guess "take over your soul"??? Bugged out, yet its still pretty coo lol. I think of it like living a horror film in the end...word up, right? more

Resolved Question: Would it be an ok or bad idea to carry a folded up memory foam mattress in a suitcase?

Hey, do you guys think it would be fine to try carrying a 1.5 inch, 75-34, memory foam mattress folded up in a suitcase to take as checked baggage on a plane? Do you think that doing that would mess up the mattress? I suppose that between getting to the airport, taking the flight and then finally arriving and settling in my new home would be about 15-16 hours. Should I really not consider this or would it be a good way to save? more

Resolved Question: Can I sleep on my new mattress topper tonight??

I bought a 4" Spa Sensations Memory Foam mattress topper and it arrived this morning. It came tightly compressed to about 1 1/2 ". I've been letting it air out on a flat surface in my bed room with fans and fresh air all day/evening. I expected a strong chemical smell, but there was very little and it's completely gone now. I really need to sleep on it tonight and besides, I have no where else I can put it. However, the instructions say to let it sit for up to 48 hours so it can fully expand. I just measured it and it's almost at 4" now. Has anyone else bought one and slept on it the first night? I'm not going to like ruin it or anything by sleeping on it, am I? more

Resolved Question: "Kitten" having accidents?

Ok up until now my kitten has been using her litter box fine since day 1. But two days ago she peed on my mattress. and i dismissed it as maybe she couldn't make it to the litter box in time. Now today i went in my room and found alot of poop on my carpet about seven pieces. could it be because shes in heat right now and maybe she cant control her bowel movements idk help!! more

Resolved Question: I am worried about bed bugs after dog sitting for a friend. I slept there and woke up with bites the 2nd day.?

About a week and half ago I was dog sitting for a friend, on the 2nd day I found a can of bed bug spray. The next morning I woke up with 2 bites. I went home that day. That was a Sunday. By Wednesday I had 3 differnt spots with 3 bites. That night I doused my bed and box springs with alcohol. I found 1 dead bed bug. The next day I bought a mattress cover. I repsrayed everything again including the floor and then covered box springs and mattress sealing any seams with duct tape. I have since then been spraying everything everyday with alcohol including covered bed. The extermintor told me I was probably all set because I sprayed everything and covered bed almost immediatly. I inspected my bed with the help of my roommate and we did not find any eveidence of bed bugs..just the one dead one after I had sprayed. Should I trust him? more

The bed bug situation has gotten out of control. I rented out my house for a year when my sister's husband died and moved in with her, long story. I could only stand it for 4 months. Rented a 1 bdrm apt for 8 months till my tenant's lease ran out. When I took posession of my house it was loaded with bedbugs. We are talking 4 double hand fulls of the things in one bedroom. I paid an exterminator almost $1,000.00 total and was still having to call him back to exterminate again. I personally think this is a racket and we are being bilked money. They spray and within 30 days you are calling and asking them to come again. The trouble with that is that it was getting increasingly more difficult to get an appointment because the damned bug is everywhere. So I started doing Research. Do bedbugs drink like a cockroach? No, they absorb moisture out of the air. A dehumidifier will inhibit them somewhat. Then I found FOOD GRADE DIATOMACEOUS EARTH. It is an off white powder, kinda looks like boric acid but, not the same thing. Diatomaceous Earth totally sucks the life right out the little buggers. Totally dehydrates them completely. After the exterminator told me they were all gone. I moved back in my house, only to find out that we still had them. Needless to say the fight was now on. I put double sided sticky tape on all legs of the furniture. I ordered the bedbug interceptor cups and put under every bed leg and coated the legs of the bed with vaseline so they couldn't climb up. I had already encased every mattress and box springs in heavy plastic, just in case, I am very glad I did. I have had up to 27 bites on me at one time. Since one bedbug will bite you in three places every time unless interrupted (Breakfast, lunch, and dinner) That means 9 of them were on me at one time. This freaked me out and I got mad. The Diatomaceous earth will make your house a mess, dry your feet out and etc. But it is well worth it. I got mine in a huge bag for $14.00 at "The Dog works" at 195 thurman avenue, columbus ohio. Phone 614-449-0045. It is totally organic, safe for pets and children, safe to use except you might get burning of the eyes and cough a little but, Hell, I don't care the damned things are gone. Voting Question: Really weird dream, can anyone interpret it?

I almost always have bad dreams. I recently got a dream catcher because i believe that they work. I got a small one awhile ago and just now i had a bad dream last night.. In my dream I was sleeping on an air mattress with my friend Caila and we were in my room. Then I woke up and she disappeared and a little girl with short black hair and a white long dress came crawling out from under my bed with scissors trying to kill me. The first defense I had was to grab my pair of scissors right next to me and start stabbing her crazily. I thought she was dead but when i turned my head for a split second she came back to life. I kept stabbing her and she wouldn't die. I called my parents in the other room over and they came over to the room saying what are you doing? thats the girl from the pool! (implying that we knew her and that we belonged to some sort of town pool, which we dont) then i showed them that she was trying to kill me with scissors and so we tried tying her in a sheet and keeping her in it. Then i just kept screaming to my dad get a gun get a gun and he came running with a gun. Before he could shoot her my cousin Molly and her boyfriend Devin walked in my house and I told them to leave because we were trying to kill this girl before she got away. But her boyfriend insisted on telling us something so my dad dropped the gun and ran downstairs to talk to them. The gun fell apart and so i frantically tried putting it together right in front of the girl so i could kill her. My mom was next to me trying to help. Then I just woke up. Does anyone know what this means? by the way, i didn't watch a scary movie last night. i wasn't thinking about anything scary. does anyone actually knowwwww what it could mean? Resolved Question: Got stabbed with a needle!!!?

Hello. I have a little issue at the moment. 3 days ago, there was a needle on my bed that i didn't see. i usually jump on my bed when i go to sleep. so i jump on my bed with my chest upside down (my chest towards the mattress) and i got stabbed with a needle in the right side of my chest. That part was bleeding for while and then i cleaned it and took some medicine. My family told me to go see a doctor. Because of the money issue (don't have med. insurance) i refused to go see one. Now after 3 days there is a blue bruise on that spot and it scares me little bit. But i called hotline and asked a doctor (MD) if i need a tetanus shot, but he said that i don't need one because I'm 19 now. I think the needle was metal and about 1/4 inch went into my chest.
