News have mentioned something about bed bugs and anything on the news is serious. I live in Chicago and they have said we are one of the most bed bug infestation cities in the country. My mom called an exterminator and he will be coming Saturday. I can't wear my clothes or anything and i have to clear out any cloth in my room and stick them in bags so i can wash them and what not. Now, we haven't seen any bug until today when my mom went into my room while it was dark and used a flashlight to search on my mattress and found one. That's when i knew i really had them. I decided i am throwing away the mattress even though i don't need to but when it comes to bugs, i panic and get super grossed out. I figured get a smaller new bed with the mattress, box spring, pillow covers and i'll feel a bit more safe. I just need to know any important information or help. Anything. i've done a lot of research but i feel like i'm reading the same thing over and over I would appreciate it tons more

For some time now, i've been suffering with a bard back. The pain varies from what its like, to where it is. The main ones are dull aches, shooting pains, and stiffness.. and it varies from the top of my back and neck, lower back, right and left side. I have pain in my ribs some times as well. A bit of back round information would be i'm 15, 5'3 and 10stone 7. Yeah i know i've over weight, but i'm genuinely good at sport. My mattress is old, and not very comfortable, and i'm sat up constantly on my laptop. I've never been fitted properly for a bra, so i don't know if that has anything to do with it, but i'm sure-ish my bra's okay. I must admit, i do little exercise, and with it being the summer holidays, i don't do much exercise other than walking around occasionally. I'm really worried because the other day, i read in the sun about a woman who has been given 3 months to live, after having a bard back, thinking it was a trapped nerve, with turned out to be cancer. On other accounts, most of my questions revolve around cancer.. i genuinely believe i'm suffering from cancer related anxiety, but i'm not really taken serious by anyone. Resolved Question: I'm getting slander from ex friend that I kicked out from my place after overstaying welcome?

I had a so called friend request if he can come up for a week for a job interview. He over extended his welcome by 2 months in my living room and did not get the job. I written up a letter requesting him to move out because I was not getting money for his occupancy and I was having to basically work full time at my place to clean up after him. Reminding him 3 days before the date I posted on the letter providing him, he conveniently forgot he had to be off the premises or legal action was going to be taken place. At that time he started to flood my cell with text's about my home improvements won't ever be finish and that he was going to start helping out with bills giving me 50 dollars a month. When I told him I wasn't interested he started calling family members asking for money and was telling them I was such a horrible person I was. It has been 3 weeks now and I actually been approached and email saying I was the worst person in the world kicking out such a nice guy. I also had other things that were told to me that weren't true with him telling them via facebook. It seems like he is still slandering my name and he is now going so far to start with friends of mine that are coming with me with the information he is telling them. How do I handle the slander on my name because it is getting to the point I am getting informed daily basis on what he is saying against me and some of the things he is saying are illegal activity and is going to jeopardize my job. also he is acting like he is the best person in the world, but really just laid on air mattress in front of my tv in the living room, eating everything i brought home and constantly used my stuff such as computer and other items. more

Okay, so I am seeking the wisdom of all you cat owners out there. I'm currently on my 2nd mattress, my parents on their 3rd, because of this. Mittens, our 6 year old female cat, keeps peeing on our beds. Some info about her: She's spayed, she's independent and I hardly ever see her in a day unless I go into my room. My room is her comfort zone, her hideout - as it has been for 6 years. Mittens was born into the house and hasn't left it since (unless of course she goes outside, but I mean she's never lived at another house). She has had many litters in the past, but finally we spayed her a few years back. We have 4 dogs: Rosalina (Goldendoodle - standard poodle/golden retriever), Napoleon (Golden Retriever), Camelia (Pomeranian), and Coco (Pomeranian). They are frequent barkers and they frighten Mittens. Her food and litter box is downstairs, my room is upstairs. Whenever she leaves the sanctuary of my room, the dogs annoy her and harass her. When she goes downstairs and hops onto her platform to eat, Rosalina nips at her because she's quickly moving. When she goes to the bathroom in her litter box, the dogs surround all the corners and stare at her. Mittens is independent and affectionate - and needs her personal space. Her retreat from going downstairs to toilet - peeing and pooping on our mattresses. She either pees on one of my twin beds or on my parents' kind mattress. We are constantly buying new mattresses. Whenever she pees or poos (or both) on a mattress, we clean it and flip it over. When she pees on it again, we buy a new bed. Its ridiculous. My parents are fed up, and if she does it again, she goes. I think I have a few solutions, but they aren't grand: 1. Move the litter box upstairs 2. Take her to the vet to see if its a veterinary issue Please help. I would never be able to move on without Mittens. She's been with me since I was 6 and I called her my baby since I was 7 years old. How can I stop her insane toileting habits? Around 4 in the morning, I woke up and suddenly I heard something screaming in only my right ear. Then, I felt like something was pulling at my arms and legs as it was pushing me into the mattress, especially on my chest, neck, wrists, and ankles. No matter how hard I tried to move or struggle, I couldn't. Only one of my arms twitched. I couldn't breathe. My eyelids felt like they were being pulled shut, so I was trying to get them to open. I don't remember if I tried to scream or not, I'm pretty sure I didn't, because I didn't want to wake my mum. I could catch glimpses of her while I was trying to open my eyes, and when I finally did, everything stopped and I could eventually move again. I didn't have the strength or courage to roll over until around 5:30am...someone please tell me what this might be? And where I can get more information on it? Will it happen again? Voting Question: What is this called, i dont really know how to describe it, its like sleepwalking?

Ok so first let me say that i remember these episodes clear like a memory. However at the time i was 'sleepwalking' my mind was acting like it was in the dream. Here's what happened once: Ok so i went to sleep. I woke up and threw my cover on the ground. I felt scared like there was a creepy bug monster thing that was going to come from under my blanket. When i threw the blanket on the floor i was kicking it away then i raised my legs back up and held them tight because i felt like the monster was going to attack my feet from under the bed. The whole time i was pretty scared, sitting on the middle of the bed, and focusing on the blanket. However, i remember that time clearly. Now i can say that i was half awake because i remember it so clearly and i remember finally picking up my blanket and going back to sleep. Another time i woke up thinking that someone was going to come into the house and into my room to find me. I was listening so carefully i could hear the small sounds the house makes normally but was freaking me out. I remember so clearly listening so intently on any sound because i was really scared my senses were on overload. I finally thought to myself that if i covered my head with my blanket and acted like i was sleeping he wouldnt notice me. so i did that and fell asleep again. This has happened recently, im16 years old almost 17, and its probably happened like 5 times over the past 3-6 months. Every time this has happened i can remember it clearly, the only reason i forgot some of the times is because of time not how deeply i was sleeping in the episode. The only factor i can see in this is i get really restless when im uncomfortable for some reason. The heat of summer is in, or my mattress is bothering me, or pms is giving me restlessness or aches. Also all of the times were of me being scared. Only once was i looking through a drawer trying to get something for a friend i thought was there, not actually scared of something. So what is this? i doubt its sleepwalking because of the vividness of the episodes. Is there a way to explain it, does anyone have some websites with information on this specific problem? Any research or help is appreciated, also dont tell me to go to a sleep center or see a doctor. Its not terrible for me or life altering, plus we cant afford to see any kind of doctor especially these days. If you know something let me in on it, if not and your just going to tell me to see a doctor please spare me, i dont need to hear it i already know thats an option.Thanks for everyone's input! ^_^ more

Ever since then, I've been losing a lot of sleep and I even spent a whole day (I should have been studying for my Algebra test! I ended up getting a 48!) looking up information about bed bugs. Every night or in my case, morning (I usually go to sleep between 2-4:30am) I spray my pillow, mattress, pillowcase, covers, between my mattress and box spring, curtains, and in little holes around my window with 91% alcohol. I usually end up using anywhere from 20-30 oz. of alcohol every morning! The fumes are no joke, but I've survived them so far, thank God! Luckily, I haven't been bit, but I feel like I'm over doing it. Before I spray, I always do a through inspection of everything I listed above and I haven't seen anything. How hazardous are the alcohol fumes? I heard that bed bugs don't like borax and I thought about putting some between my mattress and box spring. Do you think that will decrease my need for the excessive amounts of alcohol I've been using? Also, I just read that taking vitamin B1-B-Complex could keep them and other bugs at bay...I wonder if this really works! With the exception of calling an exterminator (I REALLY DON'T HAVE THE MONEY), I want to know if you could give me additional ideas on keeping them at bay. Thanks so much for your time and effort in advance! I got the alcohol idea from my cousin. Last summer my mom finally agreed to let me change my room from the childish theme I've had for years to a more mature color scheme that I'd be able to live with. The colors I had (and still have) are light purple, mint green and baby pink. The colors of the bedding I got last summer for my new scheme are hot pink, black, white and baby pink. When I first started planning the update, I wanted to get soft pink (not quite baby pink, more of soft coral) and chocolate brown bedding and paint the walls accordingly. However, I decided with my mom (although for what I remember, she tried very hard to change my mind) that I would have black and hot pink. So when we went shopping for bedding, I wanted only those colors. But they were joined by white and baby pink on the bedding I decided on. I liked the colors for a while and thought I could live with things that were hot pink with white polka-dots on one side and baby pink on the other. However, as time passed, my mom kept buying more and more things (without letting me know in advance) that were baby pink. This color was not one I wanted to be everywhere, in fact, I would have preferred to have it no where. So now that my mom is going to let me start painting (after a year) I feel like I should let her know how I feel. I think that with all the baby pink and bright white in the room, my room, which is supposed to have a more mature image, more suitable for a teenager, it will remain feeling like a little girl's room. I feel like I am not getting what I had bargained for and my mom kept buying these things out of random to make sure my room stayed at least a little the same. I understand that she might not want my room to be proof that I am, in fact, growing up, because I am her youngest daughter and child, but I feel like I'm being repressed. So, I feel like since my birthday is coming in October, it would be reasonable to ask to take money from my bank account (I have around four hundred fifty dollars that I got from family for my communion) and, using entirely my own money and buying things only when I'm positive they will please my newer theme, redecorate my room. I don't have anything else to ask for, and it's my fourteenth birthday, so I don't think it'd be terrible to ask to scrap this attempt that is failing rapidly now, and change my room with my money. Would you allow your child to take their money out of their bank account for their birthday for the purpose of redecorating their room? Do you think it is a responsible thing to do with their money? What are your thoughts on it in general? Thanks:) PS: I apologize for writing such long information; I can get carried away. This is really really simple, but I just can't think of the name at the moment. I'm thinking of a piece of hardware... it is essentially a long rod, about an eighth of an inch in diameter, with flattened ends and screw holes in the flattened ends. They're often used as supports under mattresses (two crossed over each other); we had them on my old bunk bed. Resolved Question: Cat pooping and urinating on beds?

When I moved out of my parents house last year, I left my two tabby's behind, as they'd grown attached to them. The 2 year old female started pooping and urinating on everyone's beds, the couch, carpets, etc...and after a long battle with her behaviorial issue, they were forced to bring her to a humane society. They were devistated, and called everywhere to try and get her somewhere else, but nothing was available, and she was ruining everything with her constant bathroom habits. So they started shutting all the bedroom doors when they would step out, and she would actually wait for as long as it took until someone got home, and as soon as they would open the door, she'd hop right up onto the bed and poop/pee on it. They actually had to replace my brother's mattress after so long, and that's when they gave up. This went on for almost a year. Unfortunately, Chloe is gone now, and since she was my cat, I was the most upset about this. My parents didn't tell me until two days later that they had to take her in. I called the Humane Society where they brought her and the woman refused to give me any information on her. I was so furious with her, I coulda punched her through the phone, but my efforts were failed. So I never did get any answers, which made it that much worse. Does anyone have any clue why a cat would be pooping and peeing on beds and linens? I realize that my parents should have brought her to the vet, but they could not afford it. Also, Chloe would got a few months going in her litterbox, then one day she would start with the beds again. She did not act as though she was in pain, ate regularly, no blood in the urine, nothing out of the ordinary at all. I have a few questions about this crib: 1. Has this particular crib been recalled? I know that some other cribs with the same model number have been, but none of the serial numbers matched, so I think it's alright, but I want to be sure... Yesterday a young women came to my door and said I could get a "Free carpet cleaning", I was was dumb enough to say "Sure" and a few minutes later and man came in. He didn't Shampoo my stairs but instead starting telling my how dirty the floors were and I needed a Kirby Vacuum. He vacuumed my wood floors, my stairs, my bedroom mattress and told me that this is what my daughter was breathing in. After his 3 hour speech, I asked how much and he wrote the figures down to 3200. I said NO WAY. I am not spending a months salary on a Vacuum then he said if I gave him my Hoover, he would sell me the Kirby for 2600. I said NO WAY. He said if I gave him all my Vacuums in the house he would sell me the Kirby for 1300. He gave me a sheet to fill out and I said "My husband is not here, I am not comfortable giving you any information". He said, Ok just fill it out. YOu can afford a kirby. I said NO I CAN"T. He said You need one, you can afford on. He was SO pushy. I told him no. My husband showed up and he said, Your wife wants a Kirby and I said "There nice but not 2000 dollars nice". My husband asked him to leave. He started vacuuming and showing my husband the "evidence' and then he put the evidence back on our floor. He was extremenly pushy and I said NO 15 times. He said I could afford a kirby if I was on the family budget plan. The Budget plan was 600 dollars down PLUS my two Vacuums and 300 dollars a month. I could not afford that. Voting Question: Urethra Irritated, ow ow ow?

A few days ago, my boyfriend and I were fooling around and he fingered me. It felt as though, at one point, he may have scratched the inside of my vagina. It stung a little, but it didn't feel like a big deal. We continued on and had protected sex a few times that day and a couple times throughout the day for the next 3 days. Recently, I started to feel a really bad burning/stinging sensation when I go to the bathroom and at times when I'm sitting down or walking around. It's the kinda' burn you feel when you place a tampon in a strange angle or the wrong way, but it's consistent. When I go to the bathroom, I'll feel the burning/sting before undoing my pants and sitting on the toilet and then when I go, for a few seconds, I feel like I normally do when I go to the bathroom but then it immediately burns extremely bad and stops me from going to the bathroom.I pin-pointed the source of the pain which is the Urethra. It feels irritated when I go, and almost as though some little blockade comes just before I finish using the bathroom. This has been going on for the past 4 days and it's still bothering me. At times, it seems to subside, but then it just likes to jump back and hurt =/ (He doesn't have anything and I don't either.) My thoughts: Possibility 1 - The scratch was bad and having sex only irritated it more and so it became swollen and that's why it hurts. Possibility 2 - I have a urinary track infection. I want to ask to go to the doctors since I'm under 18 years old (around 17yrs), but I do not want her to know I'm having sex and I don't want her to know that I'm having some weird problem. guys i am desperate for help . Hi, I've recently developed a sore lumpy and very red body rash in the past few days. It gets worse when im hot however last night I kept cool(well freezing cold actually) and the rash was still there, and angrier than before. I recently got a new mattress however there is a cotton protector and fitted sheet between me and the actual matress so I don't think it could be that. I've been using persil non bio washing powder, however ive heard this can still cause people with sensitive skin to rash. Is this true? The door opened in no time and there he was, wearing a white coat and crimson shirt, faultlessly ironed. He sat on a black leather chair afterwards. Dr. Miller. “We were waiting for you,” mom said, her face brushed with sheer make-up. “Well, nice to see you then,” he replied in a sonorous tone and his eyes were locked onto an envelope he brought which was now lying still on the cold oak desk. Dr. Miller held up a brown textured envelope that looks like it had been recycled out of old newspaper, because of the uneven black tints. A smell of glue then punctured my nose. He slowly opened the A3 sized envelope with a golden letter opener. Inside was a clean sheet of paper containing critical piece of information, something that might change my life. Chills ran through my back, I felt uneasy and that usually means that something isn’t right. Dr. Miller cleared his throat when he saw the test results and mom and dad looked tense. Tell me what you think about my novel's prologue. Any grammar mistakes? Need imrpovement? I was there, sitting on a polished wooden chair in a cold, air-conditioned room, with unnatural wind blowing onto my face, too cold for summer. I scanned through the barely empty room; the four walls was painted sky blue, a simple neat bed on the corner of the room wrapped with brilliant white sheet and a stainless steel sink which reflected mom and dad who were sitting too, waiting. I heard growing footsteps outside the room but I couldn’t figure from whom it belonged to. I looked through the frosted glass door, a tall shadow approaching the door. The door opened in no time and there he was, wearing a white coat and crimson shirt, faultlessly ironed. He sat on a black leather chair afterwards. Dr. Miller. “We were waiting for you,” mom said, her face brushed with sheer make-up. “Well, nice to see you then,” he replied but his eyes locked onto an envelope he brought which was now lying still on the cold oak desk. Dr. Miller held up a brown textured envelope that looks like it had been recycled out of old newspaper, because of the uneven black tints. A smell of glue then punctured through my nose. He slowly opened the A3 sized envelope with a golden letter opener. Inside was a clean sheet of paper containing critical piece of information, something that might change my life. Chills run through my back, I felt uneasy and that means something isn’t right. Dr. Miller cleared his throat when he saw the test results and mom and dad looked tense. Suddenly, I screamed wildly and violently without any reason, nurses came in white dresses with half their faces covered in blue surgical masks. The nurses gave a uniform look; their eyes enlarged to fear me. “We need to calm you down, sweetheart, you’ll be okay,” said mom who was looking down at me who was surrounded by four unfamiliar nurses. “NOOOOOOOOO!!” I screamed again, seeing a syringe with clear liquid held by one of the nurses. The nurses injected the liquid into me and I felt instant weakness. By the time I woke up, mom and dad was staring at me. I was on the hospital bed, the hard mattress covered in brilliant white sheet and blood smeared all over. I was terrified and felt great horror. “Wherewhere am I?” I asked to mom and dad. “Oh, darling, how dare you ask the question?” mom replied; her sentence was spoken in a very soft tone. “I need an answer,” Mum smiled at me and one of the nurses held up an infusion bag filled with ink black sludge that heaved as the nurse approached me. “Sweetheart, you know what time is this for, don’t you?” the nurse smirked, still holding up the horrifying infusion bag. Two other nurses grabbed my wrists while I tried to struggle and fight but their grip was so tight that I could feel my pulse pushing blood through my veins. The nurse who held the infusion bag attached a clear tube with a needle end, a fearfully sharp needle the size of an adult’s pinkie. I wanted to scream so badly but I was paralyzed, I could barely blink. “Sweetheart, you wouldn’t feel anything,” I didn’t trust the nurse. The needle bore into my skin and into my flesh, and then reached my vein, I screamed and screamed until I couldn’t make anymore sound. Resolved Question: Paralyzed partner, crib issues?

I am not pregnant, but I would like some opinions on this. I have a boyfriend and he is in a wheelchair. When the time comes and we have a baby, how should we do the crib situation? Would it benefit us to get a crib designed to be used by him, or is a bassinet an option, or maybe a mattress on the floor. Due to the recent recalls I am worried, I would rather not even use a crib. I have heard conflicting information about PVC and whether or not it is safe. I have tried to find conclusive information on its safety but have been unable to do so. My son sleeps on a bunk bed and didn't like the flimsy mattress that was made for it. We started using a vinyl air mattress instead because he found it much more comfortable. My little one is three months old and she is my life. Lately I have been really concerned with SIDS, as many parents are. It is so scary. Resolved Question: How can someone budget a disability check, and how would a spend down affect my medicaid?

I've been approved for disability. I know I am getting 16 months back pay, but three and a half months of that time was spent in both a psychiatric hospital, and a group home, so I was told I will only get $30 for those months. I need to know what else I should spend my back pay on that would be responsible? I'm also going to be getting a little under $750 a month and plan to give my mom $250 in rent. I also owe her a little bit of money from the back pay. All I can think of needing is a mattress, a small TV for my room and a CD player. What could be some other things to buy? I also know that I need to save all receipts. Also, I was told I will be getting my first check in a month and my mom will be my payee. My uncle got disability, and he blew all of his back pay without saving any receipts. He bought tattoos on his forearms, he bough whiskey, he bought junk cars and other things that are wasteful. He even bought an expensive DVD player. I told him I had an extra one I would give him for free but he felt the need to buy an expensive one. My uncle also used his EBT card for two months after getting his checks. He lost his medicaid, and only has medicare now, and spend downs I guess. He is a prime example of what I don't want to do with my money. I don't care for alcohol, so I won't be buying needless things like he does. My question is; how do I budget my money each month? What would be useful to buy with my back pay that would not look tacky? Also, I am going to a cooking school that pell grant money will pay for. But I'd like to know what would be a good thing to volunteer for? Thank you for any information if you have been through this before. Would it look tacky to spend some of my money going to a theme park? And would it look tacky using some of my money to go to a nice Brazilian restaurant? The place costs $20 each and I wanted to take my mom to it, and maybe take a woman from the Internet out to eat. I also mentioned to some people at a mental health clinic this morning that I got my disability approved my first time applying. Ok i just really need to get this of my chest as my partner is int much help as he is as mad as me. Ok I posted questions on here in regards to my mother and how she was treating me. She phoned me last week and by the end of the conversation she was saying that I was a cheeky cow etc and that she would send my dad round to sort me out ( I hadn't actually said anything cheeky apart from was there some thing wrong that she couldn't phone me as she was having a go at me for not phoning her). Anyway I have online banking and since I used to live with them they still have a few of my bank statements so she was able to get into my online banking some how as I had a phone call asking me what I had bought at mother-care for £100 and saying shouldn't be spending my money on myself since I have a son and that Im an unfit mother who doesn't care about my sons needs ( the £100 was for a cot mattress for my so I don't see how that's for myself).
