Open Question: PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!!Help with organizing school and life!?
Part 1-School days Last year, I did pretty good in school, with nothing less than an A- and a lot of A's and A+'s and my year average was in the low 90's. I want to keep it that way, or maybe even get it a bit higher. I am very picky when it comes to school, I need to be "the best"(No pressure from family or anything, just so you know!) But at the end of last year, my grades kinda started to slip because I got so disorganized at home! I have a terrible desk, with absolutely no storage space. I should be getting a new one soon, but still. Last year, all my books and notebooks and stuff were all over! How can I get more organized this year? I am definitely getting a new desk, but what else should I do? How can I keep that new desk organized? Just any little tips or tricks to help me stay on top of my game next year, because school is very important to me, even though I am only going into the 7th grade! I am in a middle class family, so a college or even high school scholarship would be very helpful! So, I want to keep my grades up so hopefully that does happen! Part 2- Room/ organization at home regarding school I am So disorganized at home! My room is usually a mess, and stuff is scattered everywhere. This summer, a friend helped me organize my room, and I kept at it for about a week, but now it is soooo hard! And if I can't keep it up during the summer, how could I possibly do it during school? What can I do to try and stay organized at home? Also, I have been known to double book, so I make 1 plan, and then forget about the first plan and make a second plan! That got me in quite a lot of trouble last year, so what can I do to prevent it this year? Info about my room: I have a pretty big closet, I keep shirts, pants, and shoes in there I have a dresser with 5 drawers. First drawer: PJ's Second drawer: Undies and socks and bathing suits and bras and stuff. Third drawer: Winter stuff Fourth and Fifth: NOTHING! What should I put in there? I also have a daybed, and my mom said she is not spending the money on another mattress under there, so what should I store in there? I have a bookshelf with a big binder of all of last years papers EVER SINGLE ONE!!!, magazines, and books. On top of that, I have the cable box and stuff for my TV, and my iPod dock. And it is kinda annoying because right behind my bookshelf is a million TV wires, and in the other corner there is a million internet cords that I cannot tame because then the internet will shut off.... for good until the Verizon people come): Also, I don't have a vanity, but my mom said I should just put all the stuff I would put on my vanity on my dresser, cause it is pretty wide. How should I organize it??? Part 3- Mornings I am having to get up a lot earlier this school year, because I moved, and I am getting to that age when I spend a TON of time getting ready in the morning!!! (: This school year, I am going to start straightening my hair in the morning, and maybe taking a shower in the morning. Last year, it took me an hour and a half to get ready. I know, I am sooo slow! If I need to leave at 8, what time should I wake up? Can anyone suggest a morning schedule perhaps? Part 4-Weekends This year, I am taking beginners ballet, jazz/hip hop, and tumbling classes. They are all on Saturday. If I start in the 7th grade, would that look good on a school resume, or would I just look stupid? (The classes are at the Y) Plus, how can I manage school, maybe some shopping :P, and friends? Plus, I always procrastinate on weekend homework. Any help? Sorry it is sooooo long!!!!!! moreResolved Question: Help me find a mattress(easy)?
A mattress that will work well with this bedframe (twin) : http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Twin-Storage-Bed-with-Headboard-Cinnamon-Cherry/13241304 I prefer that it is shipped to my house at little to no cost... I am looking for an affordable mattress that will last a long time. I have a very small room and a Twin mattress at the moment but no bed. I am in the middle of searching for one. But my problem is, I don't know what kind of bed to get. I know I want an completely wooden bed. I just don't know what type. It needs to be very basic and minimal on how much space it takes up. Storage underneath is a plus, but not necessary. I have checked target and walmart sites but all their beds got bad ratings (no shocker there) Any suggestions would be great. I am moving from New Orleans to Chicago and I have a 10" thick foam mattress. I am trying to find a service or somewhere I could get a bag that I could vacuum the air out and move it. moreResolved Question: Where can I find a cheap platform bed for a twin xl?
I just got a new Twin XL Memory Foam Mattress, but I am having the HARDEST time trying to find a good platform bed for it. Apparently Twin XL has a very limited selection. The cheapest I could find was about $350, but i'm not paying that since the mattress itself was only $275. Just something simple to hold the mattress, it doesn't have to have storage or anything. But I also don't want just a cheap spring one either. Any help is appreciated, thanks. moreResolved Question: What do you think of this?
Hello. I was just wondering what you all thought of this bed set. I have a full-size mattress right now and I wanted to get something to fit more of my crap into less space. Thanks in advance! I have a restraining order on my ex-boyfriend. I removed almost everything of his and put it into storage which he picked up. He had picked up a free washer and dryer from craigslist and purchased a mattress and wants to get a police escort to pick them up. However, he has no proof that these items belong to him. Is he allowed to come and pick them up still? moreResolved Question: Will this end my bed bug problem for sure?
All right, so this started in my old apartment. I realized when I came back after being away for a month during the winter that I had bed bugs (I woke up the next morning and within 2 hours, a bunch of red mosquito-bite marks showed up. I found the bugs right after that). The exterminator treated them twice. They went away for three months and I started getting bitten again in May. I think they were coming from a neighboring apartment, as we also got ant and roach infestations coming from that same apartment. I was moving out for the summer, since I'm a college student, and the exterminator treated again. I'm moving back into a new apartment (and new apartment complex) this August with all of my old stuff, though I would much rather ditch my bed (Don't have the money to do that). When I move it back in, it will have been in storage at 80 degrees for 85 days, and the mattress and box spring along with most of the other fabric items have been stored in sealed plastic bags or boxes. I've seen research that suggests that they should be dead after being held at that temperature for that long. However, just to make sure they're really, REALLY dead, since I've spent this entire summer paranoid about things crawling on me while I was sleeping, I want to try heating things up. My apartment is in Dallas, and on the particular day I'm moving in, the average temperature is usually 95 degrees F. If I were to put my things into a moving van and then leave it in the sun for a few hours, would that cook the bugs? If you're not sure if that will cook them, will that at least heat the moving van up to about 120 degrees for at least half an hour? Anyone who's had bed bugs before, I'm sure you can sympathize with the paranoia and know why I want to make sure they are good and dead. Thanks for that. I guess my question is more, will it reach 120 degrees? Any time I search for that information, all I find is stuff like "an enclosed vehicle will get hot enough to kill your pet/child/elderly grandmother in minutes". moreResolved Question: Do I have Bedbugs in my house?
We just moved into a rental home and at night we have been feeling itchy everywhere while laying in the beds or sitting on the couch. I saw a tiny little bug on the mattress today when I pulled off the sheets. It was very small, med. brown and squished very easily. Bedbug, bedbug nymph or something else. Also, our mattress sat in a storage unit for several months, could it be that or the carpet in this house? moreResolved Question: Am I using diatomaceous earth incorrectly to kill bed bugs?
In the building that i live in at the moment has a huge bed bug problem. Now I have bed bugs in my apartment. The exterminator came 5 days ago and sprayed. The following evening I was still getting bites. I read somewhere online about DE. I bought a bag and last night put it in a salt shaker and went crazy pouring it all over the edge of my apartment. All around my bed and under the mattress.. Just the whole outline of the apartment. Around the furniture etc. My nose is dry, i have a headache. My cat is very small and I can tell she doesn't like it. (She climbed all the way to the top of this closet shelve and i just don't know how she did it! after pouring this stuff all over. Is this stuff bad to inhale? Is it just as bad as breathing asbestos? My neighbor says i have to leave it for 10 days and then vacuum it. And how I should just bag everything with BLACK industrial size plastic bags and lay them out in the sun so the bugs can heat up and die...I used whtie plastic bags.. and bought some plastic storage containers to store my clean laundry and she was like it's not good cuz they probably will crawl in anyways.. I am just going crazy! I just read so many different things I don't know what to do. and I am worried about my cat. And am not too crazy about the exterminator coming back again in two weeks to spray cuz then we will have to leave again for 6 hours .. and i have no money to take her to the vet to hang out. And i have also read horrible things about pets getting sick because of the bug spray.. HELP PLEASE I AM DESPERATE!Hello thanks for your prompt response. It is NOT the kind for swimming pools. http://www.pcsoutdoors.com/saferbrandantandcrawlingdiatomaceousearthinsectkiller4lbpowder5170b.aspx This is a link that shows which one I bought. So tomorrow I will get a mask and vacuum it. Should I put more of it down again? did i just used it excessively? There is this whole ordeal (legally) going on in the building already. The cheap ass landlord is just stretching it. I just wanted to do something extra between now and the next time the pest control guy comes back. Anybody have any other suggestions on how to properly store linens and clothes? Do i have to consider saran wrapping the containers shut? moreResolved Question: HELP HELP HELP HELP FAST FAST?
Okay, so my friend (ex friend|) took my crib and mattress for me so that it wouldnt get wet in the rain when I was moving. (because I had zero room in the storage) well actually she took it without asking but then texted me later telling that she did. ANYWAYS! She is not a friend of mine anymore- she called welfare on me and thankfully I am great mother. ANYWAYS! I want my crib and mattress back but they are not not answering any of text messages, facebook messages or my calls. I would just go over there but her cousin has threatened my life and I really dont want to put myself in hot water. What can I do? I have proof that its mine (receipts and things) What can I say to her so that I can get it back! It wasnt a cheap purchase. Its illegal to keep somebody elses property- can I say something in a message that will make her give it back..please help! moreResolved Question: bed frame with room for storage underneath - good idea?

So I had my king size sleep number bed in storage for about six months. I just assembled it, well most of it. I got to the part where you are supposed to inflate the mattresses. I inflated them to 100, and after a bit they deflated.I keep inflating them again hoping its just because they were in storage. After inflating both sides to 100 about 10 times, they keep deflating. I don't know what's wrong with it. I don't think they got damaged while in storage. Can anyone help me? I don't want to replace the parts. They are on limited warranty now as it has been over 2 years since I purchased the bed. moreResolved Question: From the day I moved into my apt I have been constantly threatened w/ eviction. Recourse?
I will admit that my home isn't always what it should be, meaning I may let my dishes go for a few days, and I can't afford to use the laundry room located on premises (It's almost $3.00 per load to wash and dry), so my laundry does tend to pile up on me until I can find a place to do it. As a side note, CYS has been to my home on an unrelated, unfounded case. I apologized to the worker for the condition of my home (I don't keep a "show place" I'm afraid). Her reply after a glance around my living room/ dining area was "Oh, it's fine! It looks lived in". I'm literally shaking while typing this. I'm so scared of losing a place for me and my child to live. I live in daily fear. At times I have all but given up on ever being up to the managers standards. The one and only time I did pass was when most of my things were packed away into the closets, and the bed frame I was saving for my child's use was thrown away (which I now have a mattress for, but no frame). Hence the "clutter". When I first moved in, she said I had too much clutter, and like I said, I packed it into closets. The next time they came, they said my closets had too much stuff in it. This was last year. This year they said "I know the closets are used for storage", but when I do use them as storage, I get yelled at for having them too full. They'll say they expect to see toys etc on the floor from children playing, but if they see any mess, they scream and yell. I actually had management "request" for me to open my home to them. As I was fearful of threats of eviction I allowed them entrance. At the time, my home was not at its best to say the least, and I know that. However, there was no food, garbage, or other disgusting things on my floor. It was coloring books, toys, and a few plates sitting on a table, a couple empty pop cans, and clutter. I have never, ever had any true infestations outside of the usual ant's and fruit flies during the summer. which I take great pains to rid myself of. As I keep a lot of fresh fruit in my home during summer months, I don't see this as being completely unavoidable. Especially the occasional ants. I have never lived in an apartment complex that did not have some kind of ant issue. In my previous apartment they sprayed for them at a minimum of once a year. Continuing: After they entered they once again threatened me with eviction. When I told them that I did NOT have to allow them entrance, the proceeded to yell that they would take me to court immediately, and asked me if "I wanted to go there". Outside, where my neighbors could hear. They returned with the only written notification I, personally, have ever received or seen. They told me it was my 3rd lease violation, and that they're boss told me to evict me. When I said I had never recieved any other written violations, they informed me they "had the letters in the office". How am I to disprove that I ever saw them if they have the paperwork? Later, she accosted my parent, told them what was going on. We all wound up in my living room having a "pow-wow" of sorts. This is when they flipped out and said that I was a bad mother, didn't care for my child, and that they were going to call CYS. After the pow-wow, I have never heard anything more about my "eviction" that was ordered by their Superior. Following this, my parent and I stayed and spoke. During our private conversation, I became so emotionally upset that I hyperventilated. Something I have only done one other time in my life, when I was very ill with bronchitis. Management has made comments about not letting children play in a large grassy area nearby. Neighbors told me it was because management had put in a small decorative flower area. Management later told me it was because they feared the children running out behind vehicles. Considering I do not allow my child to play near or in parking areas I find this strange. Granted, one of my neighbors seems to be unable to keep her children nearby, allowing her infant to crawl around in the parking area and her preschooler to run off by himself. I do not feel this is something my child or I should be held accountable for. If the complex playground was maintained properly and/or improved I do not think this would even be an issue. I digress. Management has threatened me with my child. They threatened to call CYS on me (and as I said before, they were in my home within the last 6 months for an unfounded accusation and had no issues with me or my home). Called me a bad mother, accused me of not caring for my child, interfered in my personal business, questioned my neighbors about real and imagined issues that were NOT my neighbors business, among other things. Recently, before this last incident, I applied to allow my significant other to be added to my lease. Management had no issues with this,Recently, before this last incident, I applied to allow my significant other to be added to my lease. Management had no issues with this, at all. None. After the most recent incident explained above, they told me that once again, their boss said no. They also told me that my significant other's application was approved and accepted. I had payed the $15.00 application fee. The lease states I am to inform management of any changes in household composition. Which I have. The only way I know that a person won't be accepted is 1.) Occupancy limitations 2.) Criminal History 3.) Bad credit. None of these apply to anyone applying in my household. Management has not re-certified me since my income changed. I informed them of it in May, and this is when I started the application for my significant other. They did NOT inform me of the decision by upper management on the state of the application until this past week.@Walama: The CYS issue was another third party trying to cause me problems. Like I said, it was unfounded. The CYS worker was here for a total of 10 minutes, laughed and walked out. No joke. In PA, if the lease states 24 hr notice, then the only way they can enter my apt without my consent is due to emergencies. Also, here is a couple pics of my apt from last year when she FAILED me. Not passed.. FAILED. http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp6/Scarletrae84/House/101_0382.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp6/Scarletrae84/House/101_0381.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp6/Scarletrae84/House/101_0379.jpg http://i392.photobucket.com/albums/pp6/Scarletrae84/House/101_0387.jpg moreVoting Question: what do you think about this camper van idea?

Have you or have you heard of anyone flipping over they box springs and storing stuff inside of them and then putting the mattress back on for hidden storage? Would it be okay to do this? Would it be comfortable? Just an idea I ran across that I wanted opinions on. Thanks! What other storage ideas do you have? Like their outgrown clothes for younger children or the memoribilia stuff or the things you want to hand down to them, where do you store these things? If I used the box spring idea I was going to use some plastic bags that comforters come in and store some blankets in them and then put my mattress back on top so I don't think bugs would be a problem. Just curious about the structure of the bed and if it would be good to do that to turn the bedframe upside down and what would happen. moreResolved Question: My dads girlfriend and her kids.?
This is probably going to be a little long. Just please read it and help me. My dad has been seeing this girl Kristen. At first I liked her. And I was glad because I knew her daughter, We are the same age and used to get along really good. My dad has been a jerk lately, My brother sold Kristen's son a Xbox game. My brother asked for his money yesterday and my dad went off on him and was saying stuff like he wasn't going to pay him [He eventually gave him his money]. About 6 months ago my dad needed $40 for gas. He said he would give me the money back that weekend. I mention that $40 all the time, He just ignores it. Then one day Kristen was like, Well your dad takes you everywhere, LIE. my dad never does anything with me, he never takes me ANYWHERE but home. And she had taken me to get my nails done with her, She said that counted, so he doesn't owe me money anymore. Um, He gives my brother money all the time for fishing or gas money. I would have never went with her to get my nails done if she was going to try and say that. She gets so mad when my dad needs to take me and my brother somewhere, Like my dad picked me up from my house the other day. a hour or so later we had to go back down there because my brother needed to get some money from my mom and i needed to get clothes because I was staying the night. She starts saying "We shouldn't have to come down here we already came down here once". Like as if she had somewhere more important to be. Then yesterday, We were all going to go to their Storage and get Maggie's sheets/comforter/T.V/extra mattress. Then she tells us she isn't getting the other mattress cause 'we don't need it'. We were planning on taking one of the mattresses off and putting it on the floor for me when I'm there. There is one bed in our SMALL room, ONE mattress on that bed. We have to sleep in the same bed because no ones aloud to sleep on the couch. And I can't sleep on the floor because it hurts my back way to much. Then her daughter is the one I'm starting hate more. When I stay at my dads Maggie and I share a room. She says something about it being her room and not mine, So when she told me to help her clean it I told her no because its not my room, And cause none of the stuff on the floor is mine. She goes and tells my dad, She's 13 and has to tell on me for everything. If something doesn't go Maggie's way, All hell breaks loose. Yesterday Maggie had a friend stay the night, We all went on a 2 and a half hour bike ride to get a polar pop. I told Maggie it would be quicker if we took the highway instead of the one small back road and then another long highway, where we almost got hit by a few cars and then honked at for "being in the way" Cause there was no room on the side of the road. Maggie had a b*tch fit when me and her friend were going to go the other way instead. We couldn't go that way cause Maggie didn't want to. Then last night me and Maggie were getting mad at each other and fighting every 5 minutes. We started fighting about her mom, I said her mom complains about everything and she said she would to if she had to deal with me and my brother all day. And she asked how her mom complained about everything, So I brought up what happened the day before when she got mad about going downtown twice, She started saying well shes probably tired of taking you and your brother everywhere, its wasting gas. Then she said my mom does nothing and could take me and my brother places instead. My mom has a new born baby and sometime her boyfriends son who is about 1 year old comes over. My mom doesn't sit at home and do nothing. Then she took the blanket i was using earlier and put it in the garage. I took it out of the garage and put it back in the room. We fought over that for a few minutes. Then something just pushed me over the edge that we were fighting about and I said F*ck you I'm done with you being a F*cking B*tch. Then i took that blanket and slept in my brothers bed that's in the garage with her brothers bed. I don't know what to do. I hate both Maggie and her mom. I can't talk to my dad about it cause he won't care. He never does. Or he just wouldn't listen. What would you do if you had to deal with these two all the time?I do live with my mom. Since its summer i'm going to my dads more. but i think im not going to go anymore. moreResolved Question: Babies R Us "MUST HAVES" list?

I have a queen size pillow top bed and I need to "redo" my room. Almost 4 pounds a week!) but anyway please leave a link to a website that will help me! Or should I consider another type of space saving/storage bed frame? Thanks! moreResolved Question: Living space, clutter issue?
I'm living with my parents, and probably will be for quite a while, and while it's nice of them and all to let me live here for free, the atmosphere is incredibly unhealthy. Every house has its clutter, naturally, and I'm sure there are houses worse than this, but the real issue is that these people are also controlling and oblivious about it. They've always had a clutter problem. They always want to move to new, bigger houses. Both my sister and brother have moved out, and both their rooms have become storage rooms. Any time there is new space, it is quickly filled with food, or random niknaks. They'll collect furniture, particularly dressers and cabinets, and fill them with more food. I'm currently bedding in my brothers old room, on a queen sized mattress on the floor, and there is literally no floor space. The queen bed barely fits, stretching from the door to the window. There is one cabinet, two dressers, all full of food. On the top of the dressers is more food. Boxes of it. There is enough floor space for two boxes of food, containers of whey powder, beer, cake mixes, bags of rice, 2L bottles of soda, etc. The closet is full of food. Olives, sauces, crackers. There is a fajita grill on the top shelf. The only place for my stuff is literally on the bed with me, or tossed over the back of a chair I managed to scrape (literally scraped the wall) in for my cat to sleep on so she didn't get cat hair everywhere. The only reason I'm in this room rather than my actual bedroom room is because it's too full of stuff to live in. The bed is covered in bags of clothes they bought for my nephew, who's playpen is in that room also. There is food covering the rest of it, food on the headboard, food on the floor. There is no access to my bookshelves because there's garbage bags full of clothes, shoes or food. The only place for clothes in that room is in one shelf of a five shelf dresser (the rest are filled with childrens clothes), and on top of a boxed keyboard that they bought at an antique shop that has only ever been used as an extra shelf (same situation in the dining room with an exercise machine, it's a shelf). I'm told I can't have that room back, because they need it for storage, and for my nephew to sleep in, or for company to sleep in. I want someplace to actually exist, but I need some advice on how to go about it. I tried clearing out a room in the basement once, and after spending over 18 straight hours cleaning it, it looked the same as when I began, even though I'd thrown out 9 garbage bags worth of stuff and put more of it under the stairs. They acknowledge they have too much stuff, but continue to buy more. The most recent purchases were a 60" TV and a new dining room suite. Often they justify purchases as, "it was on sale", or, "we'll need a new set of this eventually", or, "I bought this to give to my friends / give the old stuff to friends." But it stays here, gets put away, and forgotten. How can I go about setting this straight? Even for just one room? I feel like I've bitten off more than I can chew, and the whole situation is just hopeless. Just being here is depressing. There's no space to move around in, so I spend most of the time laying in bed. It's the only space I have to myself. I need somewhere to work. I'm sure if I cleared an area of the floor, put a mat on it, and designated it "the push-up spot", it would be covered in a box of food within the week. Some advice, please.I'm editing to mention most of the food is not edible, as someone said I should be happy I'm not going to starve. Most of the food is condiments. Sauces, mayo, etc. It gets collected because it's not used and is disproportionate to actual meals. I certainly won't go hungry if I enjoy eating popcorn kernels slathered in mustard. moreVoting Question: What are these maggot-like bugs that are black with orange horizontal line on their back?
I was cleaning out a storage closet that I keep dog food in and other things, and at the bottom of the closet is a futon mattress. On top of the mattress after taking everything out I saw the exoskeletons of these tiny wormy like bugs. I then lifted up the mattress and I saw some living ones. I am completely disgusted. I'm redecorating my bedroom at my dad's house this summer and I have some issues: -A lot of the stuff I NEED to get rid of I don't want to throw out. If I put it in garbage bags my dad will throw it out. My dad is known for throwing things out. -My room there is 8x8 which is VERY small. -The walls are light pink and have been like that since I was 3-4 years old. My dad refuses to paint the walls but I do not like them. -I have a lot of porcelain dolls and no boxes to put them in -My bed is a captain's bed which has a lot of storage in it, but it's about 5 and a half feet long where the mattress is, and I'm 5'3 1/2 -I JUST rearranged the furniture in there and got new bedding two years ago -My bed is about 10 years old, my mattress is the same, my dresser is about 12-13 years old and I never use it, and my desk is about 3 years old but it is too girly for me and is falling apart already. I am 14 years old and this room is much too childish for me. It just smells 6th grade me all over it. Im getting ready to buy a new Queen Size (60"X80") Memory Foam Mattress and i was looking at platform bed frames. I found one i really like http://www.upperfurniture.com/images/ebayitem/sonomablack-2.jpg (mainly just the frame and head board) All that storage would be great, but i dont know what to all buy, where to start, or how to lay it out.. It's a queen sized mattress with latex and individual springs. I've had to move out of my apartment since I lost my job. We will get another apartment at the end of summer and take it out of storage then. But right now it's been up on its side for about 3 months. Will it be okay for a few more? Should we turn it over onto it's other side to make it fall evenly? Will we destroy this mattress by doing this to it? And if the answer is that we must store it flat right away, where the hell are we supposed to store it? The space we have is just barely big enough for all our stuff and it's costing us over $100 per month! And we don't want to store it in anyone's home to keep it free from allergens, pets, and mold and we don't want anyone else to use it... Any suggestions welcome. And if you think it's bad to store it on its side, is that because you think it would be bad, or because you actually stored a mattress on its side and it definatly messed it up? WARNING: kind of long! But I wanted to be accurate without being too thorough. I came here for an unbiased opinion. My boyfriend (24) and I (23) were planning to visit my mother, sister, brother-in-law, and 1-year-old niece this week. When I called two days before my planned arrival, I asked what the sleeping arrangements were, out of curiosity. There is two guest bedrooms; one has a crib in it for the baby, with no other bed, and the 2nd guest bedroom has a full bed. I was told that my long-term boyfriend and I would be sleeping in an "office", on an air mattress (that's not a problem), which is actually still in the modeling stage and has a galore of junk... paint buckets, paint cans, furniture... it's a future office, but right now more of a storage room. We were to sleep in this room because the baby needs her own bedroom, while the parents (my sister and brother-in-law) were to sleep in the other guest bedroom. We were assured they would put up blankets on the windows and a large blanket in the entry way of the office, because it's not an actual door-way and has no door. Also, that entry way is open to the entry of the house, where the dogs are kept and the cats also sleep. It's actually a designated animal area; they have a baby gate set up so the animals wont leave that little spot. My boyfriend has very bad allergies, and I've told them over and over. I feel as though I am being discriminated against because of my age. While we've also visited twice this year, this would be our third, my mother has only visited our home for three hours, and that's because they were driving through from two weeks spent at my sister's all the way across the united states. We, my mother and I, live four hours apart. I have expressed all of the above to her and my sister, and they both tell me to "stop being a brat" and basically belittle my feelings. My boyfriends family treats my as though I am a 20-something, not a teenager, and I have 27-29-year old friends. So basically, could my mother be showing favoritism, age discrimination, or basically rude behavior? Or am I really just being overly sensitive? Does anyone know if I can take someone to small claims court for knowingly selling me furniture infested with bed bugs? Last week I purchased what appeared to be a really nice, one-year old bedroom furniture set for $400. The first night we set it up, bugs were crawling on my 20 month old son when I went to check on him. I picked him up immediately and called pest control. The furniture was never slept on except for the two hours my son was in there with bugs crawling on him. Pest control confirmed that the bugs were in fact bed bugs and that due to the state of the furniture, that the women who sold the furniture to us must have known about the infestation. It cost us $400 for pest control, $40 for storage bags and $200 for mattress encasements. We have also spent at least two full days washing, drying, steaming and bagging everything. It has cost me more to try and control the bed bugs (and my fingers are still crossed that it worked), than it cost for the furniture set. Bed bugs are awful. They are incredibly difficult to get rid of, and this woman knowingly and unethically infested my home. She kept saying that it was a really nice bedroom set, but that she didn't have room for it in her new apartment. She hasn't returned my calls, and I am just frustrated. I had a few accounts with this company, a couch, a bedroom set, mattress, and computer. I eventually gave the bedroom set back not owing any money. I paid the balance on the computer so I owe zero on the computer. I still was paying on the couch and mattress, when I was supposed to move the new landlord stiffed me. I ended up putting my stuff in storage. I stopped making the payments because I was staying in a hotel paying weekly and did not have the extra money. I finally moved after 4-5 months of living no where, and my computer is locked by the company because I need to pay for other two accounts. I paid the balance on the mattress and now only owe for the couch which I am making payments on.The company refuses to take my computer out there system because I still owe for my couch, This means they can lock me out of it when ever they feel like it. But I paid for it, it should not be in their system. They had locked my computer for about 6 months before they gave me the code to get back into my computer. They called my references and misrepresented themselves. They lied and said I still owe a little bit when I called them to turn it off. The camper van was advertised as in need of 'a little tlc and a wipe down' due to it been in storage and had 'very low mileage of 20k'. Firstly it arrived with a window missing, they hadn't checked the latches before letting the courier load it so one went missing in transit, secondly it was rotten all around the back quarters and requires nearly £3000 of repair, a little more than 'TLC', I had to hoover toe nail clippings off the floor, remove personal belongings from the cupboards. The ceiling is soaked and skylight cracked, top bed damp, mattress no good, dash board rusted to window, furnishings damp throughout. Gets better... It arrived straight to a garage who put it through MOT fixing various things and was then delivered to me, i then find out its a write off AND in 1997 had 56k mileage on it so must have bee around at least once. Before I paid for it I spoke to the owner to ask about the mileage and he said he was sure it was genuine because it was his fathers before he had it. Furthermore they didn't give V5 to courier, they claim to have sent it to me but im not sure as its been 4 working days. I have no way at the moment of looking at dates to work out when they owned it and if it was written off in their possession or if the mileage had been between 56k and 100k in their ownership, what I can say is it came from an area of the country that was badly flooded about 5 years ago and I suspect the write off is flood damage. Please can I have no 'why didnt you view' comments as this isnt helpful. I read the listing carefully, I called the seller and asked many questions about the condition and mileage, none turned out to be true. I want what I paid for the vehicle back PLUS the costs of MOT'ing it, and I want it removed form my drive. Is this reasonable? Alternatively i'd accept the difference in the value of the actual vehicle offset against the vehicle they 'illustrated' to me. (around £700) I realise a private seller has no obligation to tell me its written off but surely they cant say its got 20k low miles and needs TLC when it's really this bad??Didn't pay by paypal, did a deal privately, the seller ended the item at the current price which was about 2/3rds of what i actually paid, i can prove what i paid though, ebay and paypal no good to me on this occasion... If only i had used paypal. I really wish I had despite hating paypal with a vengeance. moreResolved Question: How do I pack a 4 inch mattress pad?
Me and my husband got a 4 inch mattress pad for christmas and he is deploying soon so I am just putting our stuff in storage and driving our car back home with a few things I need in it. I want to take the mattress pad but don't know how to pack it to fit in the car cause it doesn't fold. I thought about one of the space saver vaccuum bag but I dont know if it would work.when it was packaged it was in like a vaccuum sealed plastic thing but when we opened it then it immediately started getting bigger which is whats its supposed to do, im not sure if i could roll it, its gonna be hard to even fold it to try to get it into a vacuum sealed bag moreResolved Question: How do I keep my baby from rolling off the bed?
My daughter is four months and is learning how to roll over. She sleeps in a crib at night until she wakes up at about 3am to eat. Then I bring her to bed with us so she can nurse and I can go back to sleep. That works fine if she's nursing from the right side because she can lay between my husband and me, but if it's time for the left side she has to be on the outside next to the edge of the bed. I try to move over as much as I can to keep her as far from the edge as possible, but I worry that one of these days she's going to roll in her sleep and right off the bed. Our bed is rather high too, so it's not a short fall that would only startle her, she could get hurt. Dismissed ideas: Putting the mattress on the floor - no room, bed too big and cumbersome to take apart and store, plus some of our clothes storage is under the bed. Turning the other way around - husband's feet too stinky and I don't want to get kicked. Co-sleeper - We had one when she was born but she's getting too big for it now, it would only be a temporary fix. Bed rails - our bed is such that I don't think it would allow installation, not with the kits I've seen anyway, plus, that would block my exit for the bed too and would be an enormous pain just to get into and out of the bed when I need to go get her from her crib. Put her back in the crib when she's done - sometimes I do, but sometimes I just fall asleep. Pillows - tried it. We end up pushing the pillow off the side of the bed. Don't nurse from that side at night - tried it. I wake up engorged in a puddle. Also tried nursing from the left side with her on my right. It's awkward and she wiggles and gets frustrated and keeps us awake. Ideas? moreResolved Question: What storage unit should i use?

I lived in an apartment for a month and it was completely infested with those tiny german cockroaches. When I left I just threw everything into trashbags and took it to a indoor storage unit. It's been in there for six months now and I have bombed it once. I am about to move into a new apartment and I don't want to relive the nightmare just because one of those things is still alive in there. Do you think all the roaches are dead and gone? Any suggestions on how I should move my stuff out of storage without bringing the bugs. Will my mattress be okay?
