Open Question: What are these bed bugs?

Hi, Recently I've noticed I seem to be getting bitten in bed. I have looked so so thoroughly and cannot see anything in crevices of mattress, bedding etc, there is nothing there, no blood stains on sheets or anything, but I wake up with small itchy bites....(not many) Its definitely not fleas either and I dont have any pets. What could this be? so confused!! more

Open Question: Why does my cat keep peeing on my bed?

My brother and his wife and 3 cats and one, or more, keep peeing on my bed. I have tried everything I can think of to stop the marking. I have sprayed No Mark, Boundaryy spray, and citrus airfreshenerer on my bed, I have coated it in urine remover, banking soda, and borax. I have put a plastic coated mattress protector on it and covered the whole thing in a plastic tarp with stuff on top of it. I even keep a bowel of food on my bed now. And just now I woke up to find they had peed on it while I was sleeping in it. I don't know what else to do. I cant keep my door closed cause the Cat Genuine is in my bathroom and they refuse to move it or put out a second litter box. Any suggestions? Anything!We also took the cat we think is peeing on my bed to the vet and he doesn't have a UTI. We don't have the money to take the other two to the vet.oh yeah all of them have been fixed and we have seen them all use the litter boxIts not peed on in regular intervals. They will go days with out peeing on it. And they work 9-5 and I work shifts so theres no real way for us to just sit there and watch for them.Ive lived with them since they got two of the cats and the first one never peed on anything the second one never peed on anything and for the first 2 or 3 months we had the third cat none of them peed on me. I leave food on my bed for them to eat which they do. I'm moving out in 3 weeks anyway. I guess I will just have to suck it up till then and then let them worry about their stuff getting ruined. more

I sleep walk almost every single night and I am supposed to go running every morning with my neighbors but I always wake up outside or in the bathroom! So I'm not by my alarm so I don't wake up! I work for a mattress and bedding company. WE (the employee) are required to come to work 15 minutes prior to opening the showroom to the public, buy a daily newspaper, and now THEY (the employer) have just added that we have to make a daily bank deposit on our own time, either at the end of our shift or before work the next day. All of which we are not being paid for. Can they legally make us do those things and not pay us for them? and if not, how do I go about contacting the proper people to have these things changed? more

I am asking this because I had bad experiences with my memory foam mattress. Since I am very overweight, I kept on breaking the box springs because the memory foam mattress was too soft. I now bought a new bed, and it is squeaking after less than a week. I found out it was the box spring. If I replace the box spring, is it just going to start squeaking again? My son seems to be quite the escape artist...i recently had to buy all new baby gates because I got out of the shower the other day just in time to see him fall on his face over the gate...I was terrified, but now its even worse because he has started trying to escape his crib. I have to run as soon as I hear him on the monitor because he is already half way over the side of the crib. I have the mattress lowered as far as it will go and the sides all the way up. I recently took out the bumper because he was using that but now he just gets his legs stuck in the sides at night. He is only 15 months so I feel like he is too young to be in a toddler bed. Does anyone have any ideas? Help! My son is 8 months old on Thursday and we have been swaddling but need to stop because he rolled over yesterday and got "stuck" with his face down into the mattress because he couldn't roll back over since his arms were swaddled. Last night was the first night and he literally slept an hour or two all night, he has cried all night and now all morning and will not sleep. We have tried rocking him to sleep, putting him in bed with us, etc. but nothing works and really I don't want to start another habit to get him to sleep. Open Question: How to move a king sized bed... HELP!!!!?

Okay so I'm moving out and I wanted to know a few ways to move my king sized bed. It's a bob-o-pedic lol and it has two twin box springs so i know that'll be easy to move. I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to fold up my mattress and tie it down to the top of my dad's SUV... it'll only be a 15 min. drive but do you think it'll compromise the quality of my bed by doing this? i know my last resort would be using a u-haul truck or something but that's the only big piece of furniture i need to move so i feel it would kind of be a waste... someone help me please! more

Open Question: Mattress odors and stains...Need some help please!?!?

I was wanting to know any good 'remedies' to rid a mattress of stains and odors.My 2 yr old sometimes wets the bed and my Spot Bot just doesn't seem to be doin the job because once I think I get it clean and smelling good she tends to have another accident and I'm back at square one. I use the pads on the bed to protect it from moisture but I do clean them often and sometimes they get left off so they can dry all the way and usually that is when she has her accidents. I had this dream that I was trapped in some kind of mall and it was after hours and I was really scared and this kid pops out of nowhere and then I screamed and he fell down the escalator and had a cut on his forehead. I ran down to see if he was ok and it turns out to be Chris Cornell (from Soundgarden) as a teen (he had long curly black hair, a lime green t-shirt, and some shorts on). I got down to him to see if he was ok and he crawled up to a bench and I tried to go up to him and help him and he let me bandage his head (idk where i got the bandage from) but then he got up and ran into a mattress store that had the lights off. And for some reason I followed him and I couldn't see because the lights weren't on, so I sat down on one of the beds and waited and he showed up and sat down next to me (a little TOO close) and just stared at me. It's in nice shape, a few scrapes but it's no big deal. Me and another worker threw out the mattress and put it in a storage unit. Now, the bottom part of the bunk isn't there.. it's just the top part so it has the bars all around it. It's a size up from a crib mattress. Open Question: Transition to toddler bed?

Kind of a long story but I figure a little background would help. I have one of those 3 in 1 cribs. At about 17 months we transitioned her crib to the toddler bed. The first night she did perfect. She came in to our room when she woke up in the morning and we cuddled in bed for a little bit. The second night went smoothly also. On the third night though she refused to go to sleep and kept getting out of bed. I gave in after about 5 hour of fighting with her and set up the pack and play in her room. She fell right to sleep. I kept trying to toddler bed after that at nap and bed time but she refused to sleep so I would resort to putting her in the pack and play. I gave up after a few weeks of very late nights and let her sleep in the pack in play, keeping the toddler bed in case she decided she wanted to sleep in it. She is now 21 months old. We moved in with my brother about a month and half ago due to my husband being deployed to Afghanistan. Me and her now share a room. She sleeps in her pack and play and I on our mattress on the floor. I waited a month for her to get adjusted to daddy being gone and she has done very well. She is acting as normal as usual, of course having a down day now and then. I want to try transitioning her again because am 16 and a half weeks pregnant with our second child and am having a difficult time with nausea and bending over to get her out of the pack and play. Also I am planning on starting potty training as soon as she turns two and I don't want to have to introduce her to two transitions at the same. I don't want to overwhelm her. I have tried putting her in my bed with me but she will not sleep as long as I am in the bed with her. She just wants to play. I have tried putting her in my bed so she has my blankets, pillow, etc. But every time I put her somewhere other than a crib she cries like she scared. I have tried letter her cry but like I said, she is crying because she is scared. I don't know what she could be scared of. She did just fine those first few times. But every time after she has always had that scared cry. I don't know how to fix this. I don't think I can bend over that bed another night. Anyone who has had experience with this or any advise on the transition would be great. Thanks! more

Open Question: 14 month old suddenly refusing to nap in crib?

Up until 2 weeks ago, my daughter would go down for one nap in the afternoon for about an hour, with minimal problems. Now suddenly, she is completely hysterical every time I lay her down in the crib for a nap. I've tried putting her down asleep, drowsy, awake, nothing. Every time her body hits the mattress she jumps up and starts screaming. CIO won't work as she just cries, then plays, and then screams until we get her. The only place she'll nap is in my bed, and even that is maybe 30% of the time for no more than half an hour. She is exhausted all afternoon. Luckily she still is sleeping well in the crib at night, I just am completely frustrated with the napping. I thought it was because she had a cold, but that came and went, plus, she's had colds before with no effect on her napping. And yes, I've already taken her to the doctor. Any suggestions? I am totally lost and losing my mind with the whole napping situation! more

Open Question: Step Child Sleeping in our Bed?

My husband has not seen his kids for six months. We live with my 3 kids. It was an adventure yesterday for me with extra kids in the house and I was completely worn out. I was the perfect step mom and talked to them, played with them, took them shopping, made a dinner that they wanted. I truly do love them and want them here. It came time to go to bed and my husband asked me if he cared if his kid slept in the bed with us and hung out and watched TV. Granted my kids sometimes do at night. His child is older than mine and I was worn out!!!! I just wanted to lay in my bed alone, with my husband and process the events of the day. I tried to settle the dispute by saying the child could use the air mattress and hang out on the floor and watch TV. My husband blew up and accused me of being jealous and crazy. It's not that at all, I was so tired, I just wanted to be in bed without a child for the night. He says that since it had been 6 months since he had seen the child, that I should have just not even questioned it. Now it is World War 3 around here and I slept on the couch, so that he could watch movies with his kids in my bed. Am I wrong??? If it were a Sunday afternoon and we were all relaxing and having family time, it would be no big deal to me. But, I was tired and overwelmed from the extra work all day. more

Open Question: suffer from mold in house and think i have an illness from it?

at my fathers were i live by choice i recently discovered mold growing on the wall near my bed, when i moved the bed it was on the mattress and when i checked my pillow it was on it (i only just found out because my father changes the bed and dint tell me although he new) i found it in my wardrobe were i haven't wore clothes for a while and on them, because if the mold the room i stay in in 4 degrees C and my father refuses to put the heating on. i for a while have suffered from extreamly bad headaches with laziness, random bleeding nose although i have never had them in my life, breathing problems itchy skin and ears, blocked sinises, blured vision and more sypmtoms, do you think this is a mold related illness my college work and work work has declined, is this cureable also or will i uffer from headaches for teh rest of my life, more

I'm 21 and married, so i would like something young and cool, but not feminine. I really like modern design, and earthy tones. any suggestions. and also if we were to move and or paint. what colours would you reccomend?haha you have no idea how much i hate shopping. if i could afford it i would hire a designer for my wardrobe, and my apartment. i'm no good at picking things out. i know what i like when i see it. but don't have the paitience to sort through all the crap in the first place. more

Does anyone use organic clothes and bedding for their newborn? I have been doing so much reading and think I would feel guilty if I didn't...especially the bedding. And is it safe to have crib bumpers in the crib with a newborn? is it ever safe? Does anyone use organic mattresses, bedding, and all natural wood cribs? Natural cribs seem hard to find an expensive. Voting Question: I think I may have hurt my sister?

Well, I usually step on my sister's back to relieve some of the pressure on it, but I usually do this on her bed. But she was laying on mine and my mattress is harder. And I ended up standing for a little while longer than normal because it wasn't working as well due to the harder surface. Anyways, it popped a bunch of blood vessels under her face and she has a small headache now and she's dizzy and tired [however these COULD be due to the late hour]. Resolved Question: What would cause a child to be afraid of patterns and textures?

My friend's daughter is troubled by clothing or materials that are textured. She seems to be be irritated by anything that is not soft and smooth. Even the spoons have to be smooth, without any pattern. She also dislikes foods that are not smooth. She won't eat anything gritty, such as cornmeal, oatmeal or any other grains. If there is the slightest lump or bump in her bed, she won't sleep in it. For example, the cover sheet has to be perfectly stretched over the mattress and the flat sheet put in place or she gets upset. She has not been diagnosed as autistic, but what other illnesses could be the cause of such sensitivity? more

My kitten was super sweet when i first got her. Although she might randomly get scared and his when i have company over, she got over that as she got used to the people i bring. She was very lovey, let me hold her and cuddled with me or a guest every night. But lately, she has developed the habit of pawing at everything (yes she still has claws but doesn't claw things up) i discipline her for clawing at my mattress by making loud noises and kicking out of my room for a while. I sometimes tap her nose firmly when she gets up into my food (she used to go crazy whenever anyone ate anything and jump up on the table and try to steal it incessantly) but i would always place her at her full food dish. if she was good for a while, ild give her a taste (to satisfy her curiosity) she runs all around the house and will do like back flips to play. very energetic and playful, but i dont have much time to play with her and she broke her favorite toy. She used to be very afraid of being outside- ild let her walk around the back fenced in porch and take her on walks (basically carrying her around/ letting her lay in the grass) but now she sneaks out every chance she gets recently, she has been sleeping at the corner of my bed instead of cuddling with me, wont let me hold her, pushes my face away when i go to kiss her, and paws at everything. she even doesn't show up in my bed till late at night or early morning. I took her to the vet and got 2 months of revolution, but haven't applied it yet cause i cant remember the last time i did. Is she sick? Am i doing something wrong?she is also spayed and less than a year old...-.- everytime i go to pet her she ites and grasps onto my arm and playfights with it. i used to let her play with my hands liek this but now i cant get near her without her thinking im playfighting. could it be real aggression? more

and the headboard is so detailed that it makes the room even more claustrophobic. What should I do?
