Games that I want to play right now are SC2 on high/ultra, DOW2 on high, and some graphic-intensive mmo's, but there are some really demanding games coming out in about a year that I want to be able to play on good settings. Is there anything else that I'm missing or don't need? The liquid cooling came free with a labor day special, but I decided to change the memory to 8gb. I currently have a pad with memory foam in it which I really like. I can't remember the name of it though. I don't like the basic fleece ones because I don't think the pad enough for the horse's back. I need a second pad though sooooo if you could get any western pad, which one would it be and why?I think my pad is an ESP now that you mention it. My mind had drawn a blank for a moment before :-) I agree, I too am picky about my pads and get a little annoyed at people with these thin crappy pads and then complain that their horse is misbehaving-maybe the horse isn't comfortable....I really like your horse, so pretty! I do see the pad, thanks! moreVoting Question: Help I can't find a changing pad to fit my changing station!?

I recently bought a memory foam mouse pad and was wondering if it was possible for me to some how make it go back to normal because for some reason it has a ton of retarded bumps and i want them to go away. Thank YOu IN ADVANCE! moreResolved Question: Saddle Pads....which are better? And why?
I currently use just a wool saddle pad with my western saddle on my TB. She never has any sores and she never seems to be sore or in any way uncomfortable, and I have a heavier synthetic sheepskin pad I use in the winter. My question is this, I'd like to give her a little more padding and ensure she's comfy, I've been looking online and there are a few different options. Most of them also help with the bounce factor which I think might also help. There is the Thinline which is supposed to be fantastic and have more cushioning and more support for rider. However, it is sold only limited in Canada and is quite expensive. There is the airpads, which look good and again are expensive There is also memory foam pads...which are supposed to help with fit, etc. So my question is, if the saddle fits well, the pads I have seem to work and my horse doesn't seem to have any issues, is it worth the $$ or am I just being silly? Thanks guys, I am a total loser with my horse, I baby her..and only because she is such a good horse, she behaves despite it. moreResolved Question: Severe saddle sore..help!?
I have been struggling for some time now to find the right saddle pad for my mare. She is hard to fit because she is a 20 year old Arab with a very bony spine and very narrow shoulders and back and high withers. She was very underweight when I got her but is now at a healthy weight but she is still just so narrow and the back bone protrudes as she seems to have put weight on every where else. I was using just a regular pad and the only problem was that the saddle moved around a lot it seemed to collapse onto her narrow shoulders because the back would stick up and I suspected it was causing her pain, but she never had any saddle sores or tenderness to the touch. The next pad I tried was a built up pad which seemed to be a perfect fit the saddle didn't move around at all and she seemed comfortable but after using it for about a week and a half I took it off one day and her back was cut open near the back of the saddle and the whole area under the saddle seat was one big saddle sore! I feel so awful I had no idea how much pain she must have been in she did not seem to be showing signs of pain, and was not miss behaving in the slightest! She was so sore at that point she could not stand to be touched. I treated the wounds and gave her a week and a half to heal. My trainer had just recommended giving her a few days off but I wanted to be sure she was not hurt again! So during this time I just lounged her for a bit each day to help with the soreness. Yesterday it was looking pretty much healed up and I decided to ride her again. This time I used a my saddle (which is not the one the caused the original problem) and borrowed a really expensive memory foam orthopedic pad which is supposed to conform to whatever the horses conformation is to eliminate pressure points and all that. Well after a short ride I took it off and on one side along the back bone she was bleeding!! But other than the wounds her back does not seem sore as she does not flinch at all when touched as she did before. I am not sure what to do now. I don't know if she just needed longer to heal? What kind of pad to try next? How to best treat it? I feel so awful about her being hurt!I have been using the same saddle on this horse since January and she has never gotten a sore before the only thing that has changed is the pads. moreResolved Question: Should I ditch Memory foam?
Check it out...I use to sleep on a regular, firm mattress and i have never had a back problem before. My wife and I got one of those memory foam pads you set on top of your mattress. Well, now I wake up with intense back pain. This morning, i felt like someone whacked me in the spine with a sledgehammer. Is it actually possible for memory foam to kill someone's back??? moreVoting Question: Has anyone found a mattress pad, protector or topper to cool off a memory foam mattress?

Get a wax kit and wax your legs, underarms, face etc. before you go. You will probably be too busy to shave and this takes a little bit of worry away from your trip. 2.Cut and file your nails and toenails, and also put on a clear coat of polish. Your nails will be shiny and well groomed, but not overdone for camping. 3.Think simple at camp. The less products the better. For your face, get some foaming cloths or pads that you just have to run under water. Wash your face and moisturize with a light oil-free moisturizer with at least SPF 15. 4.Add a touch of concealer, some waterproof mascara and a dab of nude lip gloss; this should be all you need for make up while traveling. 5.Keep your eyebrows groomed. A tiny dab of Vaseline and a comb through with an old toothbrush will keep them in shape. Take care not to accidentally use the same toothbrush to brush your teeth after! 6.Think simple for your hair. You shouldn't be blow-drying your hair during the summer. Already the heat is drying out your hair and you don't want to totally dry it out by adding more heat. After you get out of the shower, spray your hair with a leave-in conditioner and comb, then towel dry. Rub in a dollop of anti-frizz or smoothing serum all over your hair, especially to the ends! Pull up your hair in a messy bun then let it air dry. 7.Moisturize your body. A lot. After you get out the shower, slather on a body lotion enriched with vitamin E. My mom, for the last year or so, is itching her self like crazy ! checked the bed,and mattress, found nothing, shes itched so much she ended up with a staph infection. nothing works to stop the itch ,not even what her Dr. prescribed, she also has not been eating anything new.we did buy her a new bed that is made of memory foam, but we have a good mattress pad over it. she is still scratching herself, and making herself bleed, we also changed detergents and that is not it.They are little red bumps that are now scabs all over her .some have a clear fluid in them. Her primary Dr. calls it dry skin do you have another answer to what else this could be or why this is happening? My mom is 85 and in good health. thank you for your time. moreVoting Question: I'm 19 weeks pregnant and I'm having severe hip pain...?
So this past Monday I woke up early in the morning to this severe hip pain in my right hip. I flipped over to find that I also had pain in my left hip. Of course, I can't sleep on my back or my belly so my only options are my hips and, with both of them in pain, I decided to get up. When I got up I almost collapsed. I slowly sat down and put a heating pad on my right hip (where the pain was greatest) and eventually the pain went away. I had the same problem on Tuesday and the same thing happened. This happened again this morning but this time the pain never completely went away. The pain was extremely piercing this morning to the point where I couldn't find any comfort. As time passed, the pain softened but, today, it has not completely gone away. In fact, I've been limping around the house all day and I can't get any chores done. I feel like I'm about to tip over and, though both hips are in pain, the right one feels like there's a huge bruise on it that I just can't see. Both hips feel as if they are about to pop out. Now, this is my second pregnancy. I know there can be discomfort around this time when you are pregnant and I did feel that with my first but this pain is different. I have never experienced anything like this before and it has me worried. I have pregnancy pillows, memory foam pillows, down pillows, cotton pillows, a futon mattress and memory foam pad on top of my mattress so I know I'm doing everything right and, yes, I do keep my body pillow between my legs at night and additional pillows under my feet. All this week I've tried different ways to position the pillows and I've tried all of the different types of pillows and the pain continues to get worse. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any advice on how to get some comfort? Is this something I should be worried about? Thanks so much for your help in advance! moreResolved Question: gaming computer i made?

A Home BY SARAH C. WOOLSEY What is a home? A guarded space, Wherein a few, unfairly blest, Shall sit together, face to face, And bask and purr and be at rest? Where cushioned walls rise up between Its inmates and the common air, The common pain, and pad and screen From blows of fate or winds of care? Where Art may blossom strong and free, And Pleasure furl her silken wing, And every laden moment be A precious and peculiar thing? And Past and Future, softly veiled In hiding mists, shall float and lie Forgotten half, and unassailed By either hope or memory? While the luxurious Present weaves Her perfumed spells untried, untrue, Broiders her garments, heaps her sheaves, All for the pleasure of a few? Can it be this, the longed-for thing Which wanderers on the restless foam, Unsheltered beggars, birds on wing, Aspire to, dream of, christen ‘Home’? No. Art may bloom, and peace and bliss; Grief may refrain and Death forget; But if there be no more than this, The soul of home is wanting yet. Dim image from far glory caught, Fair type of fairer things to be, The true home rises in our thought, A beacon set for men to see. Its lamps burn freely in the night, Its fire-glows unchidden shed Their cheering and abounding light On homeless folk uncomforted. Each sweet and secret thing within Gives out a fragrance on the air,— A thankful breath, sent forth to win A little smile from others’ care. The few, they bask in closer heat; The many catch the further ray. Life higher seems, the world more sweet, And hope and Heaven less far away. So the old miracle anew Is wrought on earth and provéd good, And crumbs apportioned for a few, God-Blessed, suffice a multitude. moreResolved Question: What's a good half pad to use to help raise the saddle off a horse's withers?
Nobody laugh at me for asking such a dumb question :P ...but what's the best kind of half pad to help get the saddle off the horse's withers? I have a young thoroughbred with very little topline muscling, and his withers are pretty pronounced. My saddle fits him very well, but there's hardly any clearance between the gullet and his withers, and I'm nervous that it might be actually touching or that it will keep him from rounding up his back, etc. Anybody got any good pad suggestions? (Also, the cheaper the better! I'll do my best to get what I need to make my boy comfortable, but I won't be able to do anything soon if it's too expensive.) Also, I know that saddle fit issues shouldn't just be fixed with saddle pads, but I really can't get a new saddle right now. I was thinking about just getting a fleece half pad, but I don't know how well that will actually raise the saddle. I thought about maybe one of the honeycomb gel ones or a memory foam, but I still didn't know how much lift those had. I've got an old back pad with extra thickness for the dips on either side of the withers, but i think the edges of his will put pressure points at the back of his shoulders when I am in the saddle. I thought maybe one of the fleeceworks pads with the shims might work well. Suggestions please! Thank you all!DustinM: You're an asshole. SummerSea: I know what you mean, (and I tried to cover this in my question) but I can't afford another saddle right now. So with that out of the question, I'm looking for my next best option. That was my first thought, and while I don't think the withers are actually being rubbed right now, I try to be very aware of this type of thing to avoid any problems. I appreciate your advice though! Thanks for all of the great suggestions everyone! I'm going to check them all out and see what looks good. I definitely want something that will have wither clearance and not make it tighter under the saddle, and most of these look pretty good. Thanks!Road Apples: Thanks for the input, but I really don't think there's a saddle fitter that lives within 50 miles of here! haha. And getting a new saddle is really out the question. (I'm 16, and while I've got a summer job, I still don't think I could afford a decent saddle. But IF I ever got a new saddle, I would get one with changeable gullets. Thanks for the links and information, Road Apples! The only thing is, I have a really nice, leather (calf skin!) Pessoa A/O, and I really don't want to trade one like that for a Wintec. :O If the pad doesn't seem to help, I'll definitely look into getting the saddle altered. how do the springs on these no flip mattresses differ from the old flip mattresses. i perfer the old flip ones. also does anyone know where i could get,buy a new flip mattress. please answer all questions. i already tried a thicker bed pad and 2" memory foam and i can still feel the hard bed and springs. the bed is only 4 months old and all ready has a groove or dip in it. the sealy i bought in 85 was great but if i would have known how bad this one is i never would have bought it.not even for a dollar. it felt good at the store. i wonder if all no flips are like this. my one i got in 85 never really changed from the first day i got it. never got a groove or dip in it even after 12 years and looked and felt better than this new one. moreResolved Question: Will a memory foam topper help me not feel the ruts or indentations in my bed?
Have a nice pillow top matress but after a couple of years there are ruts or indentations where we usually sleep. I was wondering if anyone knew if one of those 3 or 4" memory foam pads on top of my bed would solve the problem or would we still be able to feel them??? Thanks moreResolved Question: What are some good crating activities for my dog? She looks bored.?
I always feel guilty crating my dog. So I built my dog a larger chromed out wire cage so she has alot more space and feel not so caged in. I put in a new memory foam lambskin bed with electric heating element into the bed since she like warm spots. I put in a water purified water dispenser and an automatic food and a separate treat dispenser. It has some of her chew toys like kongs, and rawhide chew sticks. It even has controls to control the radio stations I know she like via a paw activated touch pad I built for my dogs tiny paws. I was thinking this would be a great little place to hang out for my dog and she likes hanging out in there but she seems so bored. Not unhappy, just sleeps there all day and looks at me like "when am I out of here to play".I feel guilty becuase I feel like its doggie prison. That's not why I built the custom crate. I was wondering what some other pet owners use to keep you dog busy for long periods of time in their crate. I really want the crate to be a fun place to leave my dog when I'm out of the house for 2 to 3 hours running errands. I'm open to any thoughts or building whatever needs to be built. Thanks. She is a 2 year old minipin...got her a few months ago and I love building things. No she doesn't read the paper, though I have thought her to pee and poop on the bathroom toilet. Any dog that can do that deserves a custom crate for that effort LOL♥Chigirl is a she Wolf how do people who go to work for 8 hours do it? Just curious. Also, the heating pad is sealed and completely waterproof. It can be submerged and the socket as a fault protector to shut down power automatically.@jpopelis thanks for your post...My dog dos love to sniff around alot. She is a little walker. Aside from that she loves to cuddle. I wish I lived in some place other than the city so my dog had a place to swim and do outside stuff..nothing but concrete and dead grass everywhere. Is walking for 2 hours enough? I really just want my dog to be happy.@savvyble: Was going to put a doggie Tv in the Crate but I was told that dogs can't see TV the same way humans can. If they can...well you know what my next project will be :) moreResolved Question: How long do memory foam mattress pads last?

I looked under my memory foam mattress (which is less than a year old) and there is a round mildew spot under the side where I sleep...it's about 20" x 20". I have spilled NOTHING on it, and even have a stain-proof protector on it (mattress pad). I can't think of what would cause this...I'm not in a particularly humid environment. Ok so I bought a futon like a year and a half ago to use at my primary bed. I can't afford a better mattress or another bed, So I'm thinking of buying a Memory Foam Mattress pad like this http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Memory-Foam-1-inch-Mattress-Topper/834925/product.html Would that help? My trainer, friend and I were recently talking. My trainer asked us what our top 5 favorite pieces of horse tack were. At least one of them had to be a training equipment. We had to explain why there were our favorite. Mine are 1. Fork Training Aid, I've worked with draw reins, wasn't a huge fan of them. I like how the fork training aid is simple to use, you don't have an extra set of reins to hold in your hands. 2. Snaffle bit, its the most basic bit around. I use the snaffle bit when I'm working on head setting, esp. when I'm using the fork training aid. 3. Skid boots, with my pleasure horse he over steps, its being fixed right now. We're changing his shoes but I still want protection when I ride him. 4. Justin Memory Foam Saddle Pad, great for when I'm showing and I spend a lot of time in the saddle. I notice a huge difference when I ride with it, and I don't have to worry about my horse getting back sore. 5. Equitation seat saddles. I sometimes have issues with my back and I find that I may not be able to sit up in the saddle right, I like how the equitation seat saddle provides support. Also I find that I ride better with it in the show ring. So now the question is what are your top 5 favorite pieces of horse tack, one of them has to be a training equipment and why?Totally agree with the splint boots, its funny I have a pair their hot pink, my pleasure horse is a gelding. Poor him all his everyday tack are either baby blue or pink. I love going to shows and warming up, people look at this bay horse and then they notice the hot pink boots, their faces are classic moreResolved Question: How significant is the difference between 2-4" on a Latex Mattress Topper?
My fiance and I are looking into getting a latex mattress topper (NOT memory foam!). Most of our shopping is being done online, and while the reviews are good for both 2-4" pads, we're not sure how much is really necessary. We want to make our bed more comfortable, but with the large price difference per inch, we really don't want to get a thicker one than we need. If anyone has used a 2 or 3" latex mattress topper and had good results- or poor results- we'd like to know. Which thickness would you recommend? moreResolved Question: Nightmares and sleeping problems for 12 month old?
Our DD is almost 12 months old. Lately she has been whimpering in her sleep and sometimes wakes up screaming and crying. I was holding her one of the times she did this, and I kept holding her and saying "hannah look at me sweetie" in a calm voice because she just kept looking all around the room in stark terror. When she finally looked at me and saw I was there, she started calming down. She hears me just fine, but whatever is scaring her awake like that (about twice a week) is just overriding everything else. I've also noticed that she sleeps much better in our bed (it's very soft). I was wondering if there is any reason I couldn't get her a thin memory foam pad that would sit atop her crib mattress with a tight fitting sheet over the pad and mattress. Anyone else's baby wake up freaked out and what did you do or is there anything you can do? And any reason I can't make her mattress a bit softer now that she's old enough not to suffocate laying on a soft surface? I am planning on asking her doctor about both of these things at her 1 yr check up. moreResolved Question: I bought a plush memory foam mattress. Its hard as a rock!?
I recieved my plush memory foam mattress over the weekend. Its a 10 inch mattress with 3 inches of foam. In the showroom it was extremely comfortable. Its like sleeping on a hardwood floor. I thought I recieved the wrong one. When I called the store they told me to put a heating pad on it and to also jump on it! It was expensive. Its this typical for these types of mattresses? moreVoting Question: what kind of foam padding is in a guitar case?

I have been researching car seats for my son who is 7 months old and about 18lbs and 28" long. We would like to purchase a convertable seat for taller babies; and I think we have narrowed it down to these two. Evenflo Triumph Advance Premier: - Top harness slots 17" - Rear-facing 5-30lbs - Forward Facing 20-47lbs - Wide open belt path - Easy to install (according to consumers) - Knobs for adjusting - Infinate harness adjustment - Reclines forward facing - Memory foam for comfort - $189.99 First Years True Fit: - Rear facing 5-35lbs - Forward facing 23-65lbs (up to 50" tall) - Removable headrest for smaller vehicles - 16.5" top slot harness - Built-in lock offs - Easy tot ake off pad for cleaning - No rethread harness - $199.99 What car seat do you have? What has your experience been? It needs to be easy to adjust because we have very odd weather; one day he could be bundled for snow and the next in shorts so that's a big consideration for us. Thanks for any help. Also, does anyone know if the True Fit carseat reclines in forward facing?I was leaning towards the first years one too because of the weight limits. I don't think the Zeus 360 is available in Canada so that wouldn't be an option. And I am hoping to avoid rethreading straps if at all possible because at -40 celsius it's very difficult lol. It's not possible to go without something for him to wear, he could get frostbite on the way to the car. As well, they are introducing a law that you can't leave your vehicle to idle, which is what warming up your vehicle is doing. When it is -40 he is wearing a jacket and going in his car seat at the same time. Also, I will need to adjust it within the next 6 months for growth, and the next 6 months is winter, so it still needs to be easy to do while freezing cold. moreResolved Question: has anyone ever used a memory foam mattress pad?

... & some other types, can anyone tell me which ones they think are the most comfortable? My old mattress pad just died on me, it just didn't have the cushiness it once had. I'm not sure how memory foam feels, but in my mind I'm thinking it would be too firm for my taste? I don't want to have to wait 5 minutes before hopping back in to bed because I'm waiting for my imprint to wear off in the foam. Like I said, that's what my mind thinks of when I think of memory foam. I'd definitely prefer the kind I can wash in my washer too. My old one was a cotton material, but I loved it. So now I'm looking for that oh so nice cushiness that my old one used to have. Any suggestions or tips on where to buy & which brands to buy would be greatly appreciated! moreResolved Question: Sore Back Saddle Pad help?
My new horse has been having a few issues under saddle since I got him. I decided to have him checked out and yesterday the therapist said he did have muscle pain along his back (his spine etc are currently unaffected). We are giving him some time off and working on a massage and stretching programme. My new saddle has been declared a really good fit and we think this pain was caused by a previously ill fitting saddle from before I got him. However, the therapist did suggest that a good saddle pad could help him be more comfortable. I have always ridden in just a plain dressage pad. I started to look and am overwhelmed by the array of gel, memory foam, sheep skin, full pads, half pads, wither pads etc that I just don't know where to start!! The pain is right at the back where the cantle sits and my horse has normal withers and is quite wide. Please could you share your preferences and why you chose it....any links would be great!! moreVoting Question: Memory foam mattress--How much does it expand?
