Okay. I want a new mattress. I'm fourteen. I have trouble getting to sleep. My bed is a queen sized. I don't have any permanant back problems, although i am a dancer and i dance a LOT. So sometimes I am sore and achy. And my back does have problems sometimes, but not huge ones. Reccomendations? Also, what are your views on the memory foam vs tempur pedic? Resolved Question: Why have I been having very eerie dreams?

My husband and I just moved into our new house just one week ago. The house was built in 2007 and only had one military airman live in it before us whom we met upon moving in. He was a very nice guy, but had new orders to a different location. We also had to purchase all new furniture including a Tempur-pedic bed, dressers, new couches, dining room set, etc. Every night since sleeping on our new bed, I've been having very, VERY odd and eerie dreams and one nightmare. I don't really know how to explain the dreams. They are all different, but all strange and eerie. I wake up bewildered every morning and with more back pain. I have a bad back and I'm used to having back pain, but it seems to be worse since the last week. Does anyone possibly know why I could be having these eerie and strange dreams? It's making me feel weird. more

I had surgery 10 years ago on my lower back, so now I'm more sensitive than my bf. We were on vacation recently, and their mattress was super comfortbale. But when I returned home and tried to sleep on my mattress it all went down hill. I bought a 30 dollar foam pillow from WalMart hoping that it would help my shoulder pains. We finally buy our new condo for $50k. We would like to buy new bed and we can't decide. We hear so much good words about Tempur Pedic so we thought we could save for it. But it's 2k for simple queen set. I've read here that Tempur is just expensive memory foam. My wife has chronic back pain . I can't sleep on pillow. I sleep on my hand. What can You suggest and why?We make 500$ a week. I don't know I can afford Tempur Pedic, even with 48months )% financing...and we of course have sex very often. I went to a mattress store to shop around for Tempur Pedic beds, and the salesman, I felt, was trying to sell me the boxspring. He kept saying it was very important for the bed, because it's the suspension, the foundation, etc. I thought he was full of hot air, cause as far as I know it just raises the mattress to an elevated position.I forgot to point out, I already have a boxspring. Resolved Question: How to make a D.I.Y. memory foam/"cheaper pedic" setup?

I've been reading a few threads on the internet about the 'cheaper pedic' technique, i.e. basically layering a mattress topper on top of a a thicker, about 5" foam mat. My question is, has anyone out there done this or know someone who's done it? Are these placed over a frame or on top of a mattress or on top of a mattress box spring or what? Should I get a wooden frame and then put boards under it? I'm a college student who's transferring and I want to try this as it seems it's an affordable way to sleep better, and I'm not about to pony up $3000 for a Tempur Pedic brand when ostensibly I could produce something just as sufficient. Resolved Question: Are there special bed sheets for thick mattresses so the sheets don't snap off the corners?

It's just a pet peeve of mine, but I have a California King bed with a separate tempur-pedic layer on top. So keeping the fitted sheets on is sometimes a challenge during the week. I know there are stretchy sheet corner things I can use to help keep the sheets on, but I'm asking if there is a special sheet that is made for beds that are thicker than normal. I would much rather buy the larger sheets than deal with bands and snapping them to sheets that might tear. more

Resolved Question: How can I fix my neck and head pain?

For the last couple months, I have been waking up with neck pain. Throughout the day, I may (or may not) get occasional waves of head pain across my left and (sometimes) right temple and above my eyebrows. They aren't headaches as I would define it, just waves of pain, that may last seconds or minutes and then go away. However, when I arch my neck all the way back, or turn all the way to my right or left, I have neck pain. Every morning I wake up I am uncomfortable. I have tried buying new pillows. I am a chronic side sleeper so I have no idea how that impacts my situation. Right now, I am sleeping on a tempur pedic mattress with a memory foam pillow. I really need some relief. Any ideas how I might fix this? more

Resolved Question: Where can we buy an organic bed in the Kansas City area?

My husband and I just bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress. After sleeping on the mattress for one night, my husband woke up with a severe headache, dizziness, fatigue, nauseousness and other flu-like symptoms. Thinking it was just the flu, we continued sleeping on the mattress. After 10 nights my husband was very ill. We did research on the internet and found hundreds of other people with the same symptoms after sleeping on a conventional mattress. There is even talk of a class action law suit. We switched to the guest bedroom and after 2 nights my husband started feeling much better. This mattress is made with toxic materials! We are desperate to find a place that sells organic mattresses made primarily with cotten and wool. We are willing to travel within Missouri or Kansas but would prefer to find a store near Kansas City, where we live. Does anyone know where we can purchase an organic bed in the Kansas City area?? Please help! more
