Open Question: Would a twin mattress fit into a regular sized closet.?
I know this is a really weird question, but my room is really small, and I have a CRAPLOAD of stuff that my family just bought me for my birthday and I can't fit it all into my room with my mattress! Without my mattress I can though. (I just have a mattress because I wanted just a mattress not the thing that the mattress goes on and it was cheaper) And I was wondering if a twin sized mattress would fit into my closet. My closet is pretty basic sized. And the reason I'm asking this instead of doing this is because I have a crapload of stuff on the floor of my closet and it would take a really long time to take it all out and put it all back in. moreResolved Question: Help me find a mattress(easy)?
A mattress that will work well with this bedframe (twin) : http://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainstays-Twin-Storage-Bed-with-Headboard-Cinnamon-Cherry/13241304 I prefer that it is shipped to my house at little to no cost... I am looking for an affordable mattress that will last a long time. I don't really believe that a box spring is necessary.. you can see how well the actual bedframe would support the mattress.. moreVoting Question: I need help finding the right bed?
I have a very small room and a Twin mattress at the moment but no bed. I am in the middle of searching for one. But my problem is, I don't know what kind of bed to get. I know I want an completely wooden bed. I just don't know what type. It needs to be very basic and minimal on how much space it takes up. Storage underneath is a plus, but not necessary. I have checked target and walmart sites but all their beds got bad ratings (no shocker there) Any suggestions would be great. I bought sheets and a comforter for my dorm room in a twin size for my dorm but i found out that I have and extra long twin bed.... and I'm not sure If i have to return all of my sheets and mattress toppers and such. Advice?only reason why im not rushing back to the store is because the mattress is only 6 inches.. and i have a 2 inch topper. which means my mattress will only be about 8 inches. Since mattresses are built to be so fat, you would think that the sheets are made to fit up to 14 inch mattresses.apparently its a 6 inch difference length wise for mattresses so my mattress topper might be a bit short, but if i push the topper so that it covers the foot of the bed with a 6 inch clearance on the head of the bed, could the pillows cover it up enough!? moreResolved Question: Should I Buy The Twin Or The Full Bed? 10 PTS!?

My 14 month old twins have been waking at 12.30am and 4am for the past few weeks for a bottle and then going back to sleep. For the past 2 nights they have followed their normal sleeping pattern and gone to bed at 6pm and have been waking at 8am or a little later (anything from 6.30am and 9am is normal for them when in bed by 6pm) I was just wondering if this is normal at this age and what age will the next growth spurt hit roundabouts? Like I say it has stopped as soon as it started so it's not due to illness, though they have got a bit of a cold which started a few days ago. They have always slept just as well with a cold as without one so I knopw it's not that as we put pillows under the mattress to raise their heads so that they don't wake up stuffy in the night, plus Karvol and Vicks helps heaps! Any ideas when the next growth spurts will hit so that we can be ready for night feeds again? xNah, it's not teething, they aren't bothered by that anymore as they started teething at 5 weeks old so they're used to it and know that when they are sleeping it won't hurt them. I've tried everything from comforting them, going in the room and sitting between the cots, playing lullabies, giving water instead of milk, singing to them, taking blankets off them if they are warm, putting them back on if they are cold, night lights, crying out, everything literally lol, only thing that works is the bottle and they were taking it as if they were starving hungry, it was drained in a couple of minutes whereas normally is takes them about 15-20 mins to drink it before bed at nap times and bed time. It's stopped now , it only lasted a couple of weeks but I was just wondering when it is likely to happen again. They've always been hungry babies and are in the 95th and 98th percentile for weight and both in the 98th percentile for height so past growth spurts have always been a bit nightmarish moreResolved Question: I recently moved 300 miles north -- why do I keep dreaming I have to go back to my old apartment?

I want my 7 year old son and 2 year old son to share a room. The room has a bunk bed but it's too small in there to separate the bunks into two twin beds. I don't want my toddler climbing onto the top bunk so the ladder is removed. How would you transform this room? I thought about putting a mattress under the bed on the floor to slide out at bedtime for my toddler. Those trundles can be expensive and the cheaper ones I looked at had some bad ratings. moreResolved Question: Store mattress under child's bed for toddler?
I want to move my 2 year old son into my 7 year old son's room. The room is too small to separate the bunk into two twin beds, so I'm thinking about storing a mattress underneath the bottom bunk and pulling it out at bedtime for my toddler. Does anyone else do this? I don't see anything wrong with that. What do you think? Also, what would you do with the top bunk? I have an extra mattress so it won't be empty on top.If I let my oldest use the top bunk then there is the problem of keeping my toddler from climbing up there. I want them to share the room. moreResolved Question: Should I get a twin or full bed?
I am in college and moving into my new apartment soon and trying to figure out what size bed I should get. I have had a twin my whole life and been fine with it and have had an xl twin for the past 2 years in the dorms and furnished apartment and been fine with it as well. A lot of people are saying how they can't wait to get a full or queen bed and it's making me think that maybe I will be more comfortable on the full bed. I have plenty of room for the full bed too and it really would be nice to have one. But then I have a comforter already that fits a twin and would probably look awkward on the full bed. I found a mattress that has a full bed that is only $10 more than the twin, but then I will also have to pay more for the frame and the sheets too. Also, I might have to buy a whole new comforter if my twin one will look too awkward. So basically, I want a full bed but it seems to be so much more expensive and I am trying to save some money and use it towards things that would be more beneficial. Since I have never had anything but a twin, I don't know if it is worth it. So what you think? Especially those in college, but really everyone's opinion would be appreciated. Thank you!! :) moreResolved Question: What are the standard dimensions of twin, full, queen, and king mattresses?

Hello all. I have been looking left and right for a nice mattress that is appealing to my means. I come across comforter sets that I like every now and then, but there is a problem - it is always for a full, queen, or king sized bed. I under that a full size bed is only 15" inches wider then a twin sized bed, while the the height remains the same. Would those 15 inches really make a difference? I mean, if the bed is high enough..I assume that it would look okay (the comforter could droop more). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! moreResolved Question: Where can I find a cheap platform bed for a twin xl?
I just got a new Twin XL Memory Foam Mattress, but I am having the HARDEST time trying to find a good platform bed for it. Apparently Twin XL has a very limited selection. The cheapest I could find was about $350, but i'm not paying that since the mattress itself was only $275. Just something simple to hold the mattress, it doesn't have to have storage or anything. But I also don't want just a cheap spring one either. Any help is appreciated, thanks. moreResolved Question: What can I do with my old foam mattress topper?

We need to store new mattresses for about 6 weeks and will probably have to store then on end to fit them into our unit. Will this hurt them? Ok so I'm redecorating my room. Its not that big so a big bed would take up all my floor space. However, I discovered this really cool Hemnes bed at IKEA. It claims that it is a four in one, and it serves as both a twin bed and a full. My question is: does it have a special mattress that is a twin bed and then unfolds into a full? or does it just have the option of using a full or a twin mattress? Here is the link: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30080316 oh and if it does have this special mattress, could someone please tell me the name? I have this twin air mattress and by the time I wake up it's like 50% deflated. moreResolved Question: Advice for my girls rolling over please?
My twin girls are almost 25 weeks old. They were born 1 month premature. So they have just started rolling over from their back to their tummy, the problem is, they can't get back. It's ok when they are downstairs with me. But then when I put them down for a nap or to bed in their crib they will do it then get really upset when they can't get back. So I continually have to go up their and roll them over. Sometimes I think they are doing it just so I will go up their. So I will let them cry for a little bit to realize they need to stop doing that. And sometimes they will fall asleep on their tummy and then I will go up there and roll them back over. I'm not really worried about them suffocating because there is nothing but the mattress and sheet on it with them. No toys or blankets and no bumper pads and they can lift their heads. But I can't just keep going up their, and sometimes the one will keep the other awake. Any suggestions on what I can do? People have suggested those triangle things that go on either side of them to keep them from rolling, but they are to the point they will just wiggle out of those, they are constantly turning in different directions, mostly wanting to sleep at the foot of the crib or sleep the short ways in it. So I know they can get out of those triangle things. They do have separate cribs. But they still wake each other up from screaming. but thank you. Will leave them on their tummys now probably. When I get up in the morning they are like that anyway. :) moreResolved Question: can twin xl sheets fit on a regular twin mattress?

Okay, so I am seeking the wisdom of all you cat owners out there. I'm currently on my 2nd mattress, my parents on their 3rd, because of this. Mittens, our 6 year old female cat, keeps peeing on our beds. Some info about her: She's spayed, she's independent and I hardly ever see her in a day unless I go into my room. My room is her comfort zone, her hideout - as it has been for 6 years. Mittens was born into the house and hasn't left it since (unless of course she goes outside, but I mean she's never lived at another house). She has had many litters in the past, but finally we spayed her a few years back. We have 4 dogs: Rosalina (Goldendoodle - standard poodle/golden retriever), Napoleon (Golden Retriever), Camelia (Pomeranian), and Coco (Pomeranian). They are frequent barkers and they frighten Mittens. Her food and litter box is downstairs, my room is upstairs. Whenever she leaves the sanctuary of my room, the dogs annoy her and harass her. When she goes downstairs and hops onto her platform to eat, Rosalina nips at her because she's quickly moving. When she goes to the bathroom in her litter box, the dogs surround all the corners and stare at her. Mittens is independent and affectionate - and needs her personal space. Her retreat from going downstairs to toilet - peeing and pooping on our mattresses. She either pees on one of my twin beds or on my parents' kind mattress. We are constantly buying new mattresses. Whenever she pees or poos (or both) on a mattress, we clean it and flip it over. When she pees on it again, we buy a new bed. Its ridiculous. My parents are fed up, and if she does it again, she goes. I think I have a few solutions, but they aren't grand: 1. Move the litter box upstairs 2. Take her to the vet to see if its a veterinary issue Please help. I would never be able to move on without Mittens. She's been with me since I was 6 and I called her my baby since I was 7 years old. How can I stop her insane toileting habits? (Willing to post additional information immediately after asking)Okay, another thing is I would never kick her out of my room, as I mentioned earlier, it is her place and has been for a long time! Plus upstairs is one big hallway with bedrooms and no shelter up there, so she'd have no where to hide if I closed her out of my room. moreResolved Question: I am wondering about something!?
